  • Patent number: 8272005
Abstract: An information monitoring and updating method and system for a transport stream is provided. First, a transport stream is received. The transport stream includes a program specific information (PSI) table, and the PSI table is divided into a plurality of sections. Next, by setting a first filtering parameter of a monitor-section filter, the header of each section of the PSI table is filtered out and is then checked whether to be a latest version or not. When all the section headers of the PSI table are of the latest version, each section of the PSI table is filtered by setting a second filtering parameter of a table-section filter.

  • Patent number: 8179919
Abstract: Disclosed relates to a method and apparatus for data transmission in broadcast networks, in which N×K pieces of inputted application data are segmented into a matrix BN×K formed by N blocks B1-BN. Each of N blocks contains K pieces of application data, and both N and K are greater than 1. A matrix CM×N with full column rank N is selected, where M?N. After that, an encoded data module consisting of M row matrix E1-EM is generated by performing a matrix multiplication on CM×N and BN×K. Then, for each I, 1?I?M, two row matrixes CI and EI are packaged, and all of the M packaged data (CI, EI) are sent out.

  • Patent number: 8059864
Abstract: Disclosed is a system and method of image-based space detection. The system includes an image selection module, a 3-layer detection mechanism and an optimization module. At least one image processing area that may affect space-status judgment is selected from plural image processing areas. The 3-layer detection mechanism having an observation layer, a labeling layer, and a semantic layer observes the information about the selected image processing area, associates with a local classification model, and adjacent local constraint model and a global semantics model to completely describe the probability distribution of the links among the three layers, and provide global label constraint information. The optimization module analyzes the probability distribution and global label constraint information, and generates an image-based optimized space detection result.

  • Patent number: 7499055
Abstract: The present invention employs the notion of a Chinese writing brush in moving a geometric figure to produce a style of calligraphy, where the area of the geometric figure is large or small, then the strokes of a character are thick or thin. Hence the purpose is that the variance of the strokes of a character can be achieved using the present invention. The present invention only decides a moving path for the strokes of a character and the size of a geometric figure at starting points and end points, and then moves the geometric figure along the moving path, where the area the geometric figure passes is the style of calligraphy.

  • Patent number: 7366899
Abstract: An architecture of multilayered DRM protection structure for multimedia service and the method of forming the same are provided. The architecture comprises a multilayered DRM encryption structure and a DRM decryption structure. The inputted multimedia service is decomposed and encrypted into an encrypted multimedia service stream through a multimedia service decomposer and a multimedia DRM organizer. The encrypted stream is decrypted by a DRM composer from top layer to bottom layer. A full or partial multimedia service is then presented. For a multimedia service application, this enhances the DRM protection by increasing the complexity of multimedia encryption for a multimedia service application. It also provides the variety for the multimedia service application via different compositions of multimedia objects. The DRM protection structure is embedded into each layer of multimedia services and objects and can be set up different levels of DRM protection.
