  • Publication number: 20240023080
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for providing power consistency in uplink demodulation reference signal (DMRS) bundling. A method that may be performed by a user equipment (UE) includes identifying that a first uplink transmission having DMRS bundling overlaps in time with a second uplink transmission in one or more transmission occasions. The method also includes allocating, in response to the identification, a transmit power among the first uplink transmission and the second uplink transmission at the one or more transmission occasions based on the first uplink transmission having the DMRS bundling. The method further includes transmitting at least one of the first uplink transmission or the second uplink transmission in the one or more transmission occasions at the allocated transmit power.

  • Publication number: 20240015551
Abstract: This disclosure provides systems, methods and apparatus for wireless communications. In one aspect, a device, such as a user equipment (UE) may receive a configuration including one or more channel state information (CSI) measurement resources associated with a set of CSI hypotheses. The set of CSI hypotheses may correspond to a set of transmission configuration indicator (TCI) states, or a CSI interference measurement (CSIIM) resource, or both. The UE may select a first CSI measurement resource of the one or more CSI measurement resources for a channel measurement based on a CSI hypothesis of the set of CSI hypotheses. The UE also may select the CSIIM resource or a second CSI measurement resource for an interference measurement based on the CSI hypothesis of the set of CSI hypotheses. The UE may, as a result, transmit a report based on the channel measurement or the interference measurement, or both.

  • Patent number: 11863272
Abstract: The described techniques relate to improved methods, systems, devices, or apparatuses that support channel state information feedback for semi-open-loop and open-loop schemes. The described techniques provide for a user equipment (UE) to determine an open-loop, semi-open-loop, or closed-loop transmission scheme for deriving channel quality information (CQI). In the case of determined open-loop transmission scheme, the UE may select a transmission scheme corresponding to a time offset value and a precoder cycling granularity value. The UE may determine one or more of a time offset value, a precoder cycling granularity value, and a precoding matrix indicator (PMI) for a channel state information (CSI) report, and generate CQI accordingly. Additionally, the UE may include the determined values in the CSI report to indicate the transmission scheme used for the CQI derivation. Based on the CQI, the base station can then determine the transmission scheme and perform link adaption accordingly.

  • Publication number: 20230397172
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described that support signaling of compressed gradient vectors in a machine learning system that utilizes federated learning. The compressed gradient vectors may be used to report stochastic gradients from multiple edge devices (e.g., multiple user equipment (UE) devices) that are combined into a global model at an edge server (e.g., a base station). A base station may configure a UE with one or more parameters for quantizing a local stochastic gradient, and for reporting the quantized local stochastic gradient in a set of compressed gradient vectors. Each vector of the compressed gradient vectors may be associated with a different stage of a multi-stage compression procedure for reporting the local stochastic gradient, and multiple reports from multiple UEs may be aggregated in a federated learning procedure associated with a machine learning algorithm.

  • Publication number: 20230361821
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a channel state information (CSI) configuration indicating a first feedback reporting periodicity for a dominant, or strong, spatial layer and a second feedback reporting periodicity for a non-dominant, or weak, spatial layer. The UE may transmit a first CSI report for at least the dominant spatial layer according to the first feedback reporting periodicity. The UE may transmit a second CSI report for the non-dominant spatial layer according to the second feedback reporting periodicity. In some cases, for aperiodic reporting, the UE may be triggered by downlink control information to report CSI for the dominant spatial layer. In some cases, the CSI configuration may indicate different codebooks for the dominant and non-dominant spatial layers.

  • Publication number: 20230362897
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may transmit a slot format indicator (SFI) to a first user equipment (UE) via downlink control information (DCI) and the first UE may use the SFI to determine time-domain resources over which the first UE may measure cross link interference (CLI) arising from a transmission from a second UE. The first UE may use the SFI as an index into a slot format combination table, which may also be used for uplink and downlink scheduling or may be exclusively used for determining the time-domain resources for CLI measurement. The first UE may determine a set of slot formats from a slot format table based on a slot format combination corresponding to the SFI index and may determine over which symbols the first UE may measure CLI based on the set of slot formats.

The UE may transmit the sub-PRB communication based at least in part on reinterpreting the bits in the FDRA field. Numerous other aspects are provided.
