    Abstract: A thermal management system for a traction battery of an electric vehicle. The thermal management system includes an actuator for influencing a temperature of the traction battery, at least one microphone for detecting a sound in an environment of the thermal management system, and a control unit. The actuator and the microphone are communicatively connected to the control unit such that the actuator is controllable, by the control unit, based on a detection signal of the at least one microphone. Moreover, an electric vehicle having a traction battery and such a thermal management system is presented. Furthermore, a method for operating a thermal management system for a traction battery of an electric vehicle is disclosed. The method is applied during charging of the traction battery.
