Abstract: A carbon composite for an electrode of a battery, method for manufacturing the same, an electrode including the same, and a battery including the same are provided. The carbon composite comprises a porous carbon material including an outer surface and pores comprising an inner surface, the porous carbon material being doped with a heteroelement, and a catalyst comprising a transition metal formed on the outer surface or the inner surface of at least a plurality of the pores, and provides improved kinetic activity in electrochemical reaction during charge and discharge of the battery and cost efficiency for commercialization of the battery.
