  • Publication number: 20160283619
Abstract: Disclosed herein are a sonar-image-simulation method for image prediction of an imaging sonar and an apparatus using the sonar-image-simulation method. The sonar-image-simulation method includes the models of ultrasound beams of the imaging sonar, a target object, and a background on which the target object is placed, which have been described as multiple straight lines, multiple polygons, and an infinite plane, respectively. The method also includes calculating intersection points of the multiple straight lines with the multiple polygons or the infinite plane to derive image data needed to construct simulated sonar images. Based on the computed image data, the method can construct the simulated sonar images of any arbitrary-shaped object.

  • Patent number: 7285923
Abstract: An apparatus and method is disclosed for controlling a display driving pulse to drive an LED display. In one embodiment, an RGB signal is received and a period during which all the LEDs are switched off is detected. Also, the period during which an image is not being displayed is also detected. The driving time of each LED is then extended by the detected periods so that the lighting time of the LED is extended, and brightness of the display as a whole is improved using the LED system.

  • Publication number: 20060203204
Abstract: An image projection apparatus for adjusting a white balance in consideration of a temperature of an LED and a method thereof. The image projection apparatus includes a light source unit to sequentially emit lights generated by a red (R)-light emitting element, a green (G)-light emitting element, and a blue (B)-light emitting element. Light levels of the R-light emitting element, the G-light emitting element and the B-light emitting element change depending on changes in temperature. An image generation unit generates an image using the lights sequentially emitted from the light source unit and projects the image. A driving unit drives the light source unit and the image generation unit. A temperature sensor measures a temperature of the light source unit, and a controller controls a driving operation of the driving unit based on the temperature of the light source unit measured by the temperature sensor to adjust a white balance of the image projected from the image generation unit.

  • Patent number: 6714417
Abstract: A module holder is provided which includes a first foot for supporting one side of a module, a second foot for supporting the other side of the module, and slots detachably assembled between the first foot the second foot provided as many as are necessary corresponding to the number of modules to be mounted therein. An engaging unit may be formed between the first foot and the slot, between the adjacent slots, and between the slot and the second foot, for fixing each component detachably. Since the slots are formed as single products and engaging portions are formed between the slots, so that the slots can be separated or engaged, the slots can be assembled as many as are necessary corresponding to the number of modules to be mounted and modules may be added, if necessary. Accordingly, the space of the module holder occupying equipment can be minimized, improving the space utilization of the equipment.
