  • Patent number: 7561898
Abstract: In the method and apparatus for registering wireless terminals with an access point (AP) through a wireless network according to the present invention, there is no need for a re-registration procedure for terminals because, when the AP is restarted, the AP informs wireless terminals registered in its service area of the restart of the AP so as to allow each of the terminals to perform its own location registration. In addition, total update is possible, this method being in contrast to methods in which notification of a restart of the AP is carried out in a one-to-one manner using the broadcast data. As a result, efficiency in time and in the overall network is achieved by the invention. The AP can easily restore the address resolution protocol (ARP) table that has been cleared by the restart process because the terminals send the ARP table themselves, thereby providing for stabilized service.

  • Patent number: 7536463
Abstract: A terminal registration method uses a session initiation protocol, and more specifically a terminal registration method uses a session initiation protocol for increasing system efficiency and minimizing user mistakes by enabling a terminal to perform registration after receiving an IP address and a telephone number from an Internet access device with the use of an MAC address. In addition, in a VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) system including a terminal and a session initiation protocol server, a terminal registration method using a session initiation protocol includes obtaining terminal information by transmitting an MAC address to the session initiation protocol server by the terminal, obtaining user registration information by transmitting the obtained terminal information to the session initiation protocol server by the terminal, and registering in the session initiation protocol server by using the obtained user registration information.

  • Publication number: 20070008889
Abstract: A Wireless Distribution System (WDS) repeater in a Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN), the WDS repeater includes: a controller adapted to compare a wireless link rate of a WLAN signal received from an Access Point (AP) of the WLAN to a wireless link rate threshold registered in a wireless link rate table, and to display a connectability status of the wireless link according to the comparison result. A method of displaying a WDS link status in a wireless LAN system includes: detecting a wireless link rate of a WLAN signal received from an AP; comparing the detected wireless link rate to a wireless link rate threshold registered in a wireless link rate table; and displaying an ability to establish a connection when the detected wireless link rate is equal to or greater than the wireless link rate threshold.

  • Patent number: 6959448
Abstract: A radio VOD (Video-On-Demand) system is disclosed. A server provides a video file and an audio file, and a server manager manages the server so as to transmit a video file and an audio file at the user's request. An exchange converts the video file and the audio file provided from the server through a network to the corresponding video and audio signals. A mobile terminal receives the video and audio signals from the exchange through separate channels, and reads only the user requested data from the received video and audio signals.
