    Abstract: The invention relates to a pick arm for picking a media from a media stack. The pick arm includes a first arm section and a second arm section which are pivotally connected together. Each of the first and second arm sections have respective first and second ends. A media roller is attached to the first end of the first arm section and the second end of the second arm section is attached to drive means configured to apply a torque to the pick arm. When the applied torque is insufficient to enable the pick arm to pick up a media and drive it up a separation wall, the media roller is arranged to automatically move from a first position to a second position. The second position being located distal from the first position in a direction away from the separation wall.

The system includes an election mechanism mounted to the frame for ejecting a wet printed medium along a media path in an output direction towards an output area and a holding member mounted to the frame adjacent to the ejection mechanism. A portion of the holding member projects out of the media path at an angle to a plane defined by the output direction and a trailing edge of the medium for deviating at least a portion of the printed medium from the output direction. Furthermore, the angle is adjustable in correspondence with a character of the printed medium.

    Abstract: A method for wiping a printhead of an inkjet printing mechanism is provided. During a wiping process, firstly, a first amount of wiping force is exerted on the printhead for wiping the printhead in a first direction. Subsequently, a smaller amount of wiping force is exerted on the printhead for wiping the printhead in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The potential damages on the printhead by a dry wiping can thus be decreased by controlling the wiping force on the printhead.

A plurality of next-to-top sheets next to the top sheet move out of the input tray and stop approximately at the entrance of the feed zone during the pick process. The kicker includes a relatively rigid base part for kicking a first portion of the next-to-top sheets back to the input tray and a flexible top part attached to the base part for kicking a second portion of the next-to-top sheets back to the input tray.
