    Abstract: A system, apparatus, and method for resolving disputes arising from payment transactions. Such disputes may relate to the non-performance of an obligation agreed to by a party to a transaction, or the dispute may involve an allegation that a payment transaction was fraudulent, with a chargeback being requested. The invention may be used to resolve disputes arising from payment transactions that are processed by more than one payment processor, such as for a first payment transaction that was processed by a first payment processor and a second payment transaction that was processed by a second and different payment processor.
