  • Patent number: 5408400
Abstract: A disposable sterile covering for the handle of a dental light or surgical light is provided for reducing the risk of contamination arising when treating patients. The sterile covering is sufficiently flexible to stretch over the entire handle of a dental light without slipping, while being sufficiently resilient to withstand gripping forces applied to its ends. One or more tear strips extend along the covering, and when the tear strips are removed, the covering will separate into two or more parts, which can then be easily removed from the light.

  • Patent number: 5265541
Abstract: An apparatus in association with a bed organizer that includes foldable leg tubes telescopingly receiving extensions therewithin for mounting upon a top surface of an associated bed permitting an individual to project that individual's legs between the leg tubes and below an associated desk housing that in turn includes a lid mounted to the housing for storage of components therewithin, as well as lid plate hingedly mounted to the lid to include extension legs received within a groove within a top surface of the desk lid. A support shelf is reciprocatably mounted within the support housing, with the leg tubes pivotally mounted to a folded position in contiguous communication with the support housing for ease of storage thereof.

  • Patent number: 5184719
Abstract: A three-component, tamper resistant, toothbrush comprises a brush and flossing device connected by a handle portion which is sufficiently flexible to allow the brush to be bent back and contact the flossing device without excessive force being applied by the user. The brush is covered by a dry or wet dentifrice, or a dentifrice-water paste. A thin plastic cover surrounds and seals the brush and provides a vacuum seal which maintains sterility and allows the brush to be precoated with dentifrice and retain the pre-moistened dentifrice within the cover. The flossing device comprises forklike prongs between which is mounted a free span of floss under tension. A socket attachment may be provided so that additional implements such as stimulators, plaque removers, etc., can be connected to the device for use in a convenient manner. If desired, the handle can be bent back to enable the dentifrice-coated brush to contact the floss and apply some of the dentifrice thereto.
