  • Patent number: 6554210
Abstract: Fluid and air nozzle assemblies are capable of propelling streams of a cleaning fluid and air mixture onto a vehicle vision device, visible indicator, or sensor. These nozzle assemblies are mounted on a vehicle adjacent to the vehicle vision device, visible indicator, or sensor and positioned such that liquid and air jets from the nozzles intersect prior to impinging upon the vehicle vision device, visible indicator, or sensor to form a spray mixture that cleans the vehicle vision device, visible indicator, or sensor. These nozzle assemblies have an adjustment feature for the purpose of aiming the fluid-air spray toward the vehicle vision device, visible indicator, or sensor.
    Type: Grant
    Filed: March 12, 2001
Date of Patent: April 29, 2003
    Assignee: Commercial Vehicle Systems, Inc.

  • Patent number: 6199773
Abstract: Fluid and air nozzle assemblies are capable of propelling streams of a cleaning fluid and air mixture onto a vehicle headlight. These nozzle assemblies are mounted on a vehicle adjacent to the headlights and positioned such that liquid and air jets from the nozzles intersect prior to engaging the headlight to form a spray mixture that cleans the headlight. These nozzle assemblies have an adjustment feature for the purpose of aiming the fluid-air spray toward the headlight lens. The nozzle assemblies are associated with a control valve capable of connection in a pressurized air system on the vehicle and in the pressurized washer system for the windshield wipers and also capable of automatically directing liquid from the vehicle washer system and pressurized air on the vehicle to the liquid and air nozzles to form a headlight cleaning function upon manual activation of the pressurized windshield washer system of the vehicle.

  • Patent number: 5237891
Abstract: An electronic foot pedal for outputting an electrical signal proportional to the degree a treadle is pivoted. The electronic foot pedal has an improved spring arrangement for yieldably biasing the treadle toward its home position. Dual springs are provided, independently mounted and supplementary to each other. Each spring has an adequate biasing force to urge the treadle to its home position. The springs are of a ribbon-like material that are wound into a flat spiral. The springs are subjected mainly to bending forces and have flexure as the treadle is pivoted to its pivotal limits.

  • Patent number: 4958607
Abstract: A foot pedal arrangement wherein a support structure is mounted to the front wall of a diesel powered truck cab. A spring biased spool is mounted to the support structure and is interconnected to a potentiometer. A foot pedal includes a projecting arm that is pivoted to the support structure. A flexible link connection between the foot pedal arm and the spool forces rotation of the spool with pivoting of the pedal. The connection is designed to translate the traditional pedal movement to the required spool rotation as needed for monitoring by the potentiometer.
