    Abstract: Examples of gemstone verification are described herein. In one example, for processing a gemstone, pre-stored marking coordinates associated with a gemstone ID are obtained, the pre-stored marking coordinates generated during planning phase of the processing. Further, real-time marking coordinates for the gemstone to be processed are also obtained. An identity of the gemstone is verified based on a comparison of the pre-stored marking coordinates with the real-time marking coordinates. Further, information, including cutting parameters, associated with the gemstone ID of the gemstone is retrieved in response to a valid verification of the identity of the gemstone, for processing the gemstone.

A gemstone profiling system includes a holder that is rotatable by an actuator and can hold a gemstone, the gemstone having a reference mark. The system includes a non-contact measuring unit to determine a distance between a center of rotation of the gemstone and a surface of the gemstone. Further, the system includes a controller to rotate the gemstone through a plurality of orientations and receive the measured distance between a center of rotation of the gemstone and a surface of the gemstone in each of the plurality of orientations of the gemstone. The controller can generate a profile of the gemstone based on the received distance in the plurality of orientations.

    Abstract: Method(s) and System(s) for verifying authenticity of a gemstone (108) are described. The method includes receiving identification information associated with a gemstone (108). The identification information is indicative of at least one of a model number, a part number, a date, a time, and a gemstone ID associated with the gemstone (108). Thereafter, the gemstone (108) is analyzed to obtain an image pattern corresponding to the gemstone (108), the image pattern is based on refraction and reflection of a radiation incident on the gemstone (108). Thereafter, the method includes identifying a unique image pattern corresponding to the image pattern in a database. A stored identification information corresponding to the unique image pattern is then identified. The stored identification information and the unique image pattern are stored in the database for verification of the gemstone (108).
