  • Publication number: 20240230872
Abstract: A radar system applies various angle correction processes with varying levels of computational overhead to reduce errors in angle estimation when processing received return signals. The various angle correction processes aim to overcome systematic errors affected by range migration through correction based on simulation or hardware measurements, through non-iterative refinement, iterative refinement, and/or a combination of correction and iterative refinement.

  • Publication number: 20220326346
Abstract: A system includes a power manager, where the power manager includes a direct current (DC) to DC converter. The DC to DC converter includes a first driver configured to provide a voltage at a first power level. The DC to DC converter also includes a second driver configured to provide the voltage at a second power level, where the second power level is lower than the first power level. The system also includes a radar sensor configured to receive the voltage. The system further includes a controller configured to instruct the power manager to switch between the first driver and the second driver based at least in part on an activity level of the radar sensor.

  • Publication number: 20160327633
Abstract: A Frequency Modulated Continuous Wave (FMCW) radar system is provided that includes a chirp profile storage component configured to store a chirp profile for each chirp of a frame of chirps and a timing engine coupled to the chirp profile storage component to receive each chirp profile in transmission order during transmission of the frame of chirps, in which the timing engine uses each chirp profile to configure a corresponding chirp.
