    Abstract: A method for performing a clock and data recovery includes providing data and a clock; determining early/late values of the data to generate a first-order phase code using the data and the clock; and accumulating first-order phase codes retrieved from different finite state machine (FSM) cycles to generate a second-order phase code. A plurality of candidate total phase codes is generated from the second-order phase code. A multiplexing is performed to the plurality of candidate total phase codes to output one of the plurality of candidate total phase codes as a total phase code. The multiplexing is controlled by the first-order phase code. A brake machine may be implemented to prevent over-compensation of phases.

The abnormal detection module detects voltage of the LEDs respectively, and determines which one is broken and outputs an abnormal signal. The switch control module controls a switch component connected to the broken LED in parallel on/off according to the abnormal signal. The capacitor is charged by driving signals of the LEDs when the LEDs are operated according to a normal working mode or a first status of a burst dimming mode, and is discharged to maintain an operating power of the switch circuit when the LEDs are operated according to a second status of the burst dimming mode.

    Abstract: A fault detection circuit connects to and determines the occurrence of failure in an inverter circuit. The inverter circuit comprises three outputs to connect three groups of lamps respectively, and the fault detection circuit comprises a magnetic unit and a signal detection unit. The magnetic unit comprises first, second and third flux generating windings electrically connected to the three outputs of the inverter circuit, and a flux detection winding. If no fault occurs on the outputs of the inverter circuit, total flux generated by the flux generating windings is cancelled out. As long as any fault occurs on the outputs of the inverter circuit, flux generated by the flux generating windings cannot be canceled out, and the flux detection winding is electromagnetically coupled accordingly and driven by the generated flux to output a coupling signal, based on which the signal detection unit generates an alert signal accordingly.
