Abstract: The present disclosure is generally related to 3D imaging capable OLED displays. A light field display comprises an array of 3D light field pixels, each of which comprises an array of corrugated OLED pixels, a metasurface layer disposed adjacent to the array of 3D light field pixels, and a plurality of median layers disposed between the metasurface layer and the corrugated OLED pixels. Each of the corrugated OLED pixels comprises primary or non-primary color subpixels, and produces a different view of an image through the median layers to the metasurface to form a 3D image. The corrugated OLED pixels combined with a cavity effect reduce a divergence of emitted light to enable effective beam direction manipulation by the metasurface. The metasurface having a higher refractive index and a smaller filling factor enables the deflection and direction of the emitted light from the corrugated OLED pixels to be well controlled.

Abstract: A process for converting a portion of a dielectric fill material into a hard mask includes a nitrogen treatment or nitrogen plasma to convert a portion of the dielectric fill material into a nitrogen-like layer for serving as a hard mask to form an edge area of a device die by an etching process. After forming the edge area, another dielectric fill material is provided in the edge area. In the completed device, a gate cut area can have a gradient of nitrogen concentration at an upper portion of the gate cut dielectric of the gate cut area.

Abstract: A stereo image displaying method adapted to a polarizing panel is provided. The stereo image displaying method includes the following steps. An original first eye image and the original second eye image are received. Each of the odd pixel data rows of the original first eye image is interpolation operated with at least one of two adjacent even pixel data rows of original the first eye image to serve as one of a plurality of pixel data rows of a first eye image of a display frame. Each of the even pixel data rows of the original second eye image is interpolation operated with at least one of two adjacent odd pixel data rows of the original second eye image to serve as one of a plurality of pixel data rows of a second eye image of the display frame. The display frame is applied on the polarizing panel.

Abstract: A three-dimensional (3D) imaging method using one single-lens image-capture apparatus, comprising: deriving a first two-dimensional (2D) image with the single-lens image-capture apparatus; deriving a depth map corresponding to the first 2D image; synthesizing a view synthesized image according to the depth map and the first 2D image; and deriving a second 2D image with the single-lens image-capture apparatus according to the view synthesized image, wherein the first 2D image and the second 2D image are utilized for 3D image display.
