  • Patent number: 8754002
Abstract: A dry material is synthesized by alkali metal (Li, Na and K) promoted calcium aluminate carbonates to obtain a CO2 sorbent used at a temperature higher than 600 Celsius degrees (° C.). The key composition of the sorbents is 52˜69% of CaO, which is beneficial to capture CO2 at 400˜800° C. A breakthrough result is achieved by using this sintering-resistant sorbent, which includes the features of 50% initial carbonation capacity and 20 folds CO2 capturing performance maintained after 40˜60 hours. Besides, alkali bearing material provides good velocity in CO2 capturing/releasing cycles; for example, by using Li and K series sorbents, 40 hours is required for 40 cycles only.

  • Patent number: 8207086
Abstract: A technique of fabricating a medium-high temperature CO2 sorbent of layered nano-carbonate is provided. A CO2 sorbent is fabricated. The sorbent captures CO2 at a medium-high temperature above 600° C. Calcium acetate is introduced for making a nano-scale layered double hydroxide (LDH). The layered structure is used for templated synthesis. The sorbent has an initial conversion rate above 90%; and the conversion rate remains the same even after 100 times of carbonation/de-carbonation cycles.

  • Patent number: 5987660
Abstract: A water jet cleaning device for a includes a base and a cover secured to a toilet. A tube is secured in the base has a lower end coupled to a water tank. A pipe is secured on the tube and has an upper end extended outward the cover and has an outlet coupled to a sprayer head and has a valve seat. A rod is received in the pipe and has a plug for engaging with the valve seat of the pipe and a spring may bias the plug to engage with the valve seat. A water jet may flow out of the sprayer head via the pipe when the plug is forced away from the valve seat against the spring.

  • Patent number: 5818729
Abstract: A system and method for placement of elements within an integrated circuit design using a spanning tree model and a quadratic optimization based placement. The system utilizes a conjugate-gradient quadratic formula based placement system (e.g., GORDIAN) which inputs an integrated circuit design in a netlist form and generates a connectivity matrix for each multi-pin net within the design. The quadratic placement system performs global optimization using a conjugate gradient solution to minimize wire lengths of cells in nets. Partitioning is also performed. The system and method herein utilizes a clique model of a multi-pin net to generate first connectivity matrices for the multi-pin nets which are run through the global optimization processes. This first run provides a rough placement of the elements of the multi-pin nets.
