  • Patent number: 8708686
Abstract: A clamping device for a two-platen injection molding machine, includes a movable mold platen, a stationary mold platen, and a tie bar connected therebetween, with the movable mold platen being movable along the tie bar. The clamping device further includes a connecting structure that is used to detachably connect an elongating tie bar to an end of the tie bar. The tie bar can be elongated as desired and re-machining the whole tie bar is dispensed with, therefore the tie bar can be elongated conveniently, the productivity is increased and the product cost is lowered.

  • Patent number: 5882016
Abstract: A chuck assembly for use with a rotary tool includes a chuck mechanism having a plurality of spaced apart jaws. The jaw spacing is adjusted by rotation of an adjustment ring. A sleeve encircles and is affixed to the adjustment ring. A plurality of spaced apart ribs radially extend from the sleeve. An elastomeric grip extends generally circumferentially about the sleeve. The ribs radially protrude from the grip at a plurality of openings defined by the grip. The ribs lie in outboard shielding relationship to the grip to protect the grip from excessive wear and damage due to contact with other objects during operation of the rotary tool.

  • Patent number: 5379815
Abstract: A table saw is disclosed comprising a main saw unit and an extension table assembly attachment. The extension table assembly includes an extension table having a first end and a second end hinges for pivotably attaching one end of the extension table to a guide rail of the table saw proximate the discharge end of the table saw, and a retractable leg. The leg is pivotably mounted to the extension table to allow the leg to move between a folded position wherein the leg lies substantially flush with the extension table and an extended position wherein the leg is adapted to support the extension table. The bracket which mounts the leg to the extension table is also adapted to lock the leg in either the folded or extended position.

  • Patent number: 5351590
Abstract: A clamp (20) and method for making the same are disclosed. The clamp (20) has a pair of jaws (42,44), a pivot (46) and an actuator (48). Each of the jaws (42,44) has a distal end (54,56) and a clamping end (50,52). The jaws (42,44) are pivotally connected by the pivot (46) such that the actuator (48) can displace the distal ends (54,56) relative to one another causing the clamping ends (50,52) to pivot together to retain the end of a blade therebetween. Preferably, the actuator (48) is a thumbscrew and the pivot (46) is a pivot pin cooperatively retained by respective pivot apertures (60,62) located in each of the jaws (42,44). Alternatively, the pivot (46) may be tenon (164) formed on one jaw (144) and a mortise (162) formed in the other jaw (142), the tenon (164) being pivotally retained within mortise (162). The clamp (20) is manually operable to clamp the scroll saw blade without the use of separate tools such as a screw driver or an Allen wrench.
