  • Patent number: 7258527
Abstract: The present invention is to provide a vertical axis wind engine comprising at least one arm each having its center rotatably coupled to a vertical axis mounted on a base on the ground, each pair of the upper and lower arms adapted to define an airfoil receiving space for pivotably mounting an airfoil by pivot pins thereof; and at least one elastic stop member each provided on the arm proximate the airfoil and spaced from the pivot pins, each stop member adapted to limit a pivot angle of the airfoil and lift the pivot limitation for allowing the airfoil to pivot when the airfoil experiences a wind force larger than a maximum resistance force thereof, preventing the components of the wind engine from being damaged by strong wind or when the wind engine is operating in high speed.

  • Patent number: 6665626
Abstract: A network-based computer testing system performs a concurrent testing procedure on computer products for quality assurance before shipment. The testing system comprises a communication port expander, an administrator, a network system, a product database, and a file server, and is characterized in that it allows the computer products being tested to be linked to the network system by means of a standard communication interface rather than a dedicated network interface. All the required testing files and associated data files are stored in the file server, so that they can be automatically downloaded to each computer product being tested via the network system and under control by the administrator.

  • Publication number: 20030093238
Abstract: A network-based computer testing system is proposed, which can be used to perform a concurrent testing procedure on a batch of computer products, such as notebook computers, for quality assurance of the notebook computers before they are shipped to the market. The proposed network-based computer testing system comprises a communication port expander, an administrator, a network system, a product database, and a file server. The proposed network-based computer testing system is characterized in that it allows the computer units being tested to be linked to the network system by means of a standard communication interface, such as RS-232, USB, or IEEE-1394, rather than a dedicated network card. Moreover, all the required testing files and associated data files are stored in the file server, so that they can be automatically downloaded to each computer unit being tested via the network system and under control by the administrator.
