Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing wake-up event management and an associated computer program product are provided, where the method is applied to an electronic device. The method includes the steps of: classifying a plurality of wake-up events of the electronic device according to at least one predetermined rule, wherein a specific wake-up event of the plurality of wake-up events is classified to be a triggering event, and one or more other wake-up events of the plurality of wake-up events are classified to be grouping events; arranging the grouping events as a group corresponding to the triggering event by setting wake-up time of each of the grouping events to be equivalent to that of the triggering event, for triggering the grouping events by utilizing the triggering event; and when the wake-up time of the triggering event is reached, performing operations corresponding to the triggering event and the grouping events, respectively.

Abstract: A power saving method for a mobile device in a wireless communication system is disclosed. The power saving method comprises obtaining a first parameter according to a first signal transmitted between the mobile device and a first network; estimating a first power consumption of the mobile device in the first network according to the first parameter and a first radio access technology (RAT) employed in the first network; determining whether the first network is suitable according to at least a comparison of the first power consumption with a second power consumption of the mobile device in a second network, wherein the second network employs a second RAT different from the first RAT; and switching to a the second network when the first network is not suitable.

Abstract: A data transmission method adapted in an electronic device is provided. The data transmission method comprises the steps as follows. The electronic device is operated in a sleep period, wherein at least one first data-transmitting packet is stored in a data-transmitting register. When the sleep period is finished, the electronic device is operated in a wake-up period, wherein during the wake-up period, the first data-transmitting packet is sent to an external network. When the wake-up period is finished, the electronic device is operated in the sleep period again. An electronic device is disclosed herein as well.

Abstract: A method for informing a user of the rotation of a dish in a Digital Video Broadcasting-Satellite system includes determining the duration of the rotation of the dish according to the angular velocity of the dish and the angle of the rotation; and outputting the duration of the rotation of the dish.
