The apparatus includes a random access memory and a non-volatile memory. The method includes steps of: receiving a setting information change signal, storing setting information into the random access memory, clearing the non-volatile memory, and transferring the setting information from the random access memory to the non-volatile memory when the non-volatile memory is erased. The setting information includes channel information and on screen display setting information.

Next, the scaling module receives an input image sent from the host to produce the output image in accordance with the input parameter. Finally, the output image is transmitted to the digital display module to display the output image.

The first logic circuit is provided for receiving the vertical-horizontal composite sync signal and the integrated signal, and outputs a high level signal when the voltage level of the vertical-horizontal composite sync signal transforms from the high level to the low level while the voltage level of the integrated signal is in the low level. The second logic circuit is connected to the first logic circuit and receives the vertical-horizontal composite sync signal and the signal outputted from the first logic circuit.
