  • Publication number: 20120162277
Abstract: A display includes a display panel, a driver, a memory and a scaler. The driver is used for driving the display panel. The memory is used for storing multiple sets of preset modes. The scaler is electrically connected to the memory and the driver. When the scaler receives an image signal corresponding to at least two different applications, the scaler provides the different preset modes of the applications to non-overlapped display zones, which the applications located in, of a display frame, such that the driver can simultaneously drives at least two of the different preset modes on the display panel.

  • Publication number: 20120013633
Abstract: A positioning method for obtaining position where a light pen is in contact with a display device at a to-be-positioned spot is provided. The display device includes display areas, corresponding with positioning coding patterns of a built-in positioning frame. The positioning method includes the following steps. Firstly, a positive positioning frame and a negative positioning frame are obtained according to the built-in positioning frame. Next, the positive and the negative positioning frames are respectively added on first original video frames to respectively generate first frame displayed in first frame time and second frame displayed in second frame time. Then the light pen obtains first selected image and second selected image from the first and the second frames respectively. After that, a to-be-positioned pattern is obtained by subtracting the second selected image from the first selected image and a coordinate position of the to-be-positioned spot is obtained.

  • Publication number: 20110298733
Abstract: A touch system allows a user to issue touch commands using a cursor pen. The cursor pen is configured to output a characteristic signal which generates a disturbance signal at a contact location where a touch commanded occurs. During a frame period, data driving signals are outputted to the data lines, from which data sensing signals are simultaneously measured for detecting the disturbance signal. If a disturbance signal is detected in a specific data sensing signal, the horizontal coordinate of the contact location may be determined according to a specific data line from which the specific data sensing signal is measured, and the vertical coordinate of the contact location may be determined according to when the disturbance signal occurs in the specific data line.

  • Publication number: 20110273484
Abstract: A method for controlling the display circuit and the backlight source of a display device is utilized to improve the color display performance at the low grey scale region. The method includes dividing a plurality of display data into first original display data and second original display data according to a threshold value; the display circuit outputting the first original display data at a first frame duration; the backlight source outputting a first brightness at the first frame duration; the display circuit adjusting the second original display data according to a first parameter for generating second adjusted display data; the display circuit outputting the second adjusted display data at a second frame duration; lowering the first brightness according to the first parameter for generating a second brightness; and the backlight source outputting the second brightness at the second frame duration.

  • Patent number: 7626566
Abstract: In a display system, an inputted video sequence is displayed with an initial brightness at a first time and corresponding to a present control signal level and further displayed with a decayed brightness at a second time before adjustment. An apparatus, used for adjusting the brightness of the inputted video sequence, includes an input unit, a counter, a controller, and a brightness control unit. The input unit is used for inputting the present control signal level. The counter is used for counting time and outputting a notification signal at the second time. The controller is used for receiving the present control signal level and the notification signal and accordingly generating a present compensating parameter. The brightness control unit is used for receiving the present compensating parameter and generating an adjusted control signal level to adjust the brightness of the inputted video sequence from the decayed brightness to the initial brightness.

  • Patent number: 7470868
Abstract: A switch with light emitting function is provided. The switch is disposed on a circuit board for starting a device, and includes a case, a button, a light emitting diode (LED) and a number of pins. The button is protruded from the case. The LED is disposed inside the case, and has a positive end and a negative end. The pins are connected to a first electrical contact, a second electrical contact, a third electrical contact and the negative end of the LED, respectively. The positive end of the LED is electrically connected to the fourth electrical contact. When the button is pressed, the first electrical contact and the second electrical contact are shorted to start the device. Meanwhile, the third electrical contact and the fourth electrical contact are shorted, so that the LED is turned on to emit a light. No extra space is needed for disposing the LED.
