  • Patent number: 7086904
Abstract: A card connector is used for SIM card and has an insulative frame and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the insulative frame. Each conductive terminal includes a body, and a contact arm inclined upwardly and unitarily stamped from the body. The contact arm has a connecting portion and a contact portion. An anchor is unitarily and upwardly stamped from the body. A soldering arm extends opposite the connecting portion of the contact arm. The contact arms of the conductive terminals have desirable resiliency and low profile. Correspondingly, the overall height of the card connector reduces, thereby meeting the tendency of miniature.

  • Patent number: 7037125
Abstract: A memory card connector has an insulative frame, a plurality of conductive terminals received in the insulative frame, an ejecting device for guiding a memory card in or out, and a shell shielding the insulative frame. A normal-open type activation switch is mounted on the insulative frame and includes a first pin and a second pin identical and parallel to each other. The first pin and the second pin respectively have bases, contact arms, interferential arms and soldering arms. The contact arms bend perpendicularly from the bases and further bend inversely to form suspending branch arms. The branch arms respectively have arcuate portions at substantially middle thereof and free ends.

  • Publication number: 20060019528
Abstract: A connector for connecting with cables and mate with a plug connector includes a first housing and a second housing assembled to each other, and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the first housing. The first housing has a first insulator and a first shell shielding the first insulator. The second housing has a second insulator and a second shell shielding the second insulator. Each conductive terminal has a contact end and a pierce end. When the first housing and the second housing are assembled together, the pierce ends of the conductive terminals stick ends of the cables for electrically connecting with the cables, meanwhile, by the U-shaped anchors of the first shell and the pressing protrusions of the second shell to sandwich and press against the cables. Thus, the cables are prevented from coming off or disengaging from the connector in order to keep a stable communication performance and extend the available life.

  • Patent number: 6974355
Abstract: A connector includes an insulative housing and a plurality of terminals received in the receiving holes. The insulative housing includes a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and third and fourth surfaces connected between the first surface and the second surface. A plurality of receiving holes is defined in the insulative housing extending between the first surface and the second surface. A recess is defined in the third surface thereby forming a partition between the recess and each of the receiving holes. The recess provides an engaging portion of the receiving hole with assembling elasticity. Therefore when each terminal is inserted into the engaging portion of the receiving hole, the engaging portion of the receiving hole is resiliently deformed to receive an interferential portion of the terminal, and engaged with the partition for securely fixing the terminal to the insulative housing thereby preventing the terminal from getting loose.

A plurality of U-shaped anchors is longitudinally arranged on the first shell for sandwiching the pierced ends of the cables therebetween. A plurality of biasing projections is longitudinally formed along a front of the second insulator and cooperates, with the anchors to press the cables.

  • Patent number: 6840792
Abstract: A thin connector for connecting with cables and mate with a plug connector includes a first housing and a second housing assembled together, and a plurality of conductive terminals received in the second housing. The first housing has a first insulator, a first shell for shielding the first insulator and a longitudinal biasing plate. The second housing has a second insulator and a second shell shielding the second insulator. The conductive terminals have contact ends and pins. When the first housing and the second housing are assembled together, the pins of the conductive terminals pierce the cables for electrically connecting the conductive terminals and the cables. The biasing plate presses against the cables to avoid the cables disengaging from the thin connector, thereby achieving reliable communication and lengthened life-span.
