  • Publication number: 20080038525
Abstract: A light refractive and diffusive optical element includes a light-transmittable substrate, one or more relative refractive and diffusive layers provided on one surface of the substrate, and an antistatic adherent layer provided on an opposite surface of the substrate. Each of the relative refractive and diffusive layers includes more than one species of substance having a different refraction index each, so that the resultant relative refractive and diffusive layers have a relative refraction coefficient within a predetermined range. When there are multiple relative refractive and diffusive layers, the refraction coefficients of these layers may be in a predetermined ratio.

  • Publication number: 20080037122
Abstract: In a method of manufacturing a reflective type polarizing diffusive film, a shielding reflection layer is formed on one surface of a substrate, a plurality of grooves are then formed on the shielding reflection layer, and finally, a diffusive layer is formed on the shielding reflection layer. Each of the grooves penetrates into the substrate for light to pass therethrough. Due to the grooves on the shielding reflection layer and the electromagnetic wave, light vibrating in a direction normal to an axis of the shielding reflection layer is blocked by a reverse electric field induced by the shielding reflection layer, and light vibrating in a direction parallel to the axis of the shielding reflection layer is allowed to pass through the shielding reflection layer to produce polarized light. The blocked light is reflected by the shielding reflection layer to the original optical path for reuse, so as to provide largely enhanced brightness.

  • Publication number: 20070215893
Abstract: A light reflection sheet includes a transparent buffering layer and a reflection layer, formed on two opposite surfaces of a transparent substrate, respectively. With the buffering effect provided by the transparent buffering layer, the possible damage caused to the light reflection sheet or a V-cut light guide plate when they engage with each other can be avoided.

  • Publication number: 20060203347
Abstract: A light reflection-diffusion sheet used in a back-light module, in which a light source is disposed, comprises a reflection layer and a diffusion layer, which is formed on one surface of said reflection layer. The lights from said light source enter into said diffusion layer and are reflected by said reflection layer, and then emit via said diffusion. Said diffusion layer includes multiple diffusion particles and adhesive used for boning said multiple diffusion particles onto said reflection layer. A method for manufacturing said light reflection-diffusion sheet and a display apparatus employing said reflection-diffusion sheet are also disclosed.
