  • Publication number: 20090284543
Abstract: A computer having a CPU, a chipset and a graphic card is provided. The CPU is coupled to the graphic card through the chipset. The graphic card receives an output video from the chipset. The output video has a plurality of images, and each of the images has a plurality of pixels. The graphic card calculates the pixels of the image to obtain brightness values of the each pixels, and the brightness values are calculated to obtain brightness mapping values according to a non-linear function. Consequently, the graphic card is able to adjust a brightness contrast of each of the images so as to obtain a renewed output video.

  • Patent number: 7609307
Abstract: The present invention discloses a heterogeneity-projection hard-decision interpolation method for color reproduction, which utilizes a heterogeneity-projection method to determine the optimal edge direction and then utilizes a hard-decision rule to determine the optimal interpolation direction and obtain the information of the green color elements. The high-frequency information of the plane of the green color elements is incorporated into the processing of the planes of the red color elements and the blue color elements to reduce the restoration errors of the red and blue color elements. Therefore, the present invention can decrease the interpolation-direction errors and achieve a higher PSNR and a better visual effect.

  • Publication number: 20090198374
Abstract: A nursing system of the present invention can position where a person to be nursed through a sensor network widely deployed in an environment, instantaneously detect if the person to be nursed has an accident, and forward a message to inform a relative or medical staff. An autonomous robot will actively move beside the person to be nursed and transmit real-time images to a remote computer or PDA so that the relative or medical staff can swiftly ascertain the situation of the person to be nursed and the person to be nursed in case of emergency can be rescued as soon as possible.

  • Publication number: 20080085020
Abstract: A vibration unit includes a sound ring and a membrane attached to the sound ring. The membrane includes a rim for attachment to a shell of an acoustic device, a convex-concave annular region, a first non-planar connective region between the convex-concave annular region and the rim, a convex-concave circular region and a second non-planar connective region between the convex-concave circular region and the convex-concave annular region.

  • Publication number: 20070265029
Abstract: A speaker module of a portable communication device includes a shell and a speaker module. The speaker module includes a speaker, a base and a wall. The wall connects with the base. The shell has two half shells. The shell and the wall define an acoustic cavity when the two half shells are connected. Consequently, the acoustic cavity is defined alongside the speaker, which reduces entire height of the speaker module. The entire height of the communication device can be also reduced to meet the demands of thin, light and compact features for the communication device.
