    Abstract: Disclosed is a smart antenna software definition radio terminal device. A software definition radio terminal device in a smart antenna software definition radio multi antenna system according to the present invention includes: a storage unit, a microprocessor, and at least one baseband accelerator. The microprocessor is configured to select a smart antenna algorithm; receive a control command from a radio controller layer for delivering a control command to control the baseband accelerator and a radio controller layer on the basis of the selected algorithm; read from the storage unit a code including a baseband driver layer that delivers the received control command to the baseband accelerator, and execute the read code; and load at least one functional block for realizing at least one smart antenna algorithm from the storage unit into the baseband accelerator. According to the terminal device, a terminal having a modem chip of a different structure may execute the same radio application through standard API.

    Abstract: Disclosed is a method for distributing, installing and operating software-defined radio-based radio application independent of hardware and a user application. The radio application comprises a radio controller code and a user-defined function block code. A radio application package for distributing and installing the radio application includes pipeline component metadata for constituting a pipeline of the radio application. The user-defined function block code may be provided in the form of an execution code, a source code or an intermediate representation, and the radio controller code and the user-defined function block code may call a standard function block. Accordingly, with the configuration of the radio application of the present invention and the method for distributing, installing and operating the radio application according to the present invention, various wireless communication systems can be used independently of a modem chip just by downloading and installing the radio application.

The device includes an instrument-playing key unit having one or more keys, provided on a body of the instrument-playing portable communication device. When a user selects a chord of a selected instrument by pressing at least one of the one or more keys, the instrument-playing key unit converts the at least one key press into a first signal. The device also includes a sensor unit mounted in the body, for sensing a motion of a user. When the user presses the at least one of the one or more keys and moves in a location near the sensor unit, the sensor unit senses a motion of the user and converts the motion into a second signal. The device further includes a controller for receiving the first signal from the instrument-playing key unit and the second signal from the sensor unit, generating a tone frequency of the selected instrument based on the received signals, and converting the tone frequency into a tone.

The control signal generates a third control signal for a B-mode scan along scan lines, which are not within the color box to form third receive signals. The control unit repeatedly generates the second and third control signals. The image processing unit is further operable to form a B-mode image based on the third receive signals and the second signals.
