    Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided. A processor receives a measurement control message carrying information about a filtering coefficient via a radio transceiver module, periodically measures signal quality of at least one cell to obtain a plurality of measurement results, periodically filters the measurement results according to a first measurement period to obtain a plurality of filtered results, and determines whether to transmit a measurement report to a system controller in the wireless communication network according to the filtered results. The filtering coefficient is assigned by the system controller to filter the measurement results according to a second measurement period.

    Abstract: The invention provides a method for positioning a user equipment. First, a plurality of wireless links between the user equipment and a plurality of mobile networks are established. A plurality of first location information sets describing a location of the user equipment are then obtained from the mobile networks through the wireless links. The first location information sets are then converted to a plurality of second location information sets with a predetermined format. The second location information sets are then combined to estimate a third location information set describing the location of the user equipment.

A processor obtains information regarding first paging occasions distributed within a predetermined time interval for the first subscriber identity card, obtains information regarding second paging occasions distributed within the predetermined time interval for the second subscriber identity card, detects a forthcoming time slot of the predetermined time interval in which one of the first paging occasions collides with one of the second paging occasions, determines listening to one of the first cell and the second cell in the detected time slot, and notifies of the determination to the radio transceiver module so as to direct the radio transceiver module to listen to the determined cell to receive a corresponding paging message from the determined cell in the detected time slot.

    Abstract: A communication apparatus is provided. The communication apparatus comprises a radio transceiver module, a first subscriber identity card, a second subscriber identity card and a processor. The processor is coupled to the radio transceiver module, the first subscriber identity card and the second subscriber identity card, determines a first paging parameter for the first subscriber identity card, obtains second paging parameters from a second cell belonging to a second wireless network for the second subscriber identity card, determines one from the obtained second paging parameters with consideration of the determined first paging parameter, and transmits the determined second paging parameter via the radio transceiver module to the second wireless network through the second cell, thereby enabling the second cell to broadcast paging messages periodically by a time period based on the determined second paging parameter.
