Publication number: 20130337434Abstract: A method of preparing magnetic bead type nasopharyngeal enzyme immunoassay reagents by polymerase chain reaction according to this invention offers in-vitro diagnostic reagents by means of utilizing nanotechnology. This method uses magnetic beads to coat EBV nuclear antigen (Epstein-Barr virus nuclear antigen, EBNA1) or early antigen (Early Antigen, EA). The use of polymerase chain reaction (polymerase Chain Reaction PCR) is for amplified detection. It is found that positive controls of different concentrations, after amplified by PCR, change in their brightness and concentration. That reveals the EBV antigens on the magnetic beads can specifically detect IgA antigens in the serum.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 19, 2012Publication date: December 19, 2013Applicant: ATOMIC ENERGY COUNCIL-INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR ENERGY RESEARCHInventors: Ching-Yan Tsai, Kuan-Yin Chen, Ping-Hung Yu, Chia-Chieh Chen, Chia-Ching Liu, Feng-Huei Lin

Patent number: 8492161Abstract: Disclosed is a method for quantitatively analyzing a functional group on the surface of a solid material. The functional group is carboxylic group while the solid material is carbon nano-tubes. The carboxylic group reacts with sodium hydrogen carbonate, thus turning the carboxylic groups into sodium carboxylate while consuming the sodium ions in the solution. The carbon nano-tubes are separated from the sodium hydrogen carbonate solution. The number of the sodium ions before and after the reaction is analyzed. Moreover, the sodium carboxylate carried on the reacted carbon nano-tubes with reacts with hydrochloric acid solution, thus dissolving the sodium ions in the hydrochloric acid solution. The carbon nanotubes are separated from from the hydrochloric acid solution. The amount of the sodium ions is analyzed before and after the reaction in the hydrochloric acid solution.Type: GrantFiled: August 25, 2011Date of Patent: July 23, 2013Assignee: Atomic Energy Council—Institute of Nuclear Energy ResearchInventors: Meng-Jun Fu, Kuan-Yin Chen, Chia-Chieh Chen

Publication number: 20120264949Abstract: A method is provided to label dopamine D2 receptors at striatum and areas outside of striatum. A radiosynthesized ligand of iodine(I)-123-Epidepride is used. The I-123-Epidepride can be strongly bonded to the D2 receptor and has a rare characteristic of non-specificity. Hence, it is suitable for developing a tracer for areas outside of striatum, where D2 receptor densities are low. Besides, I-123-Epidepride can be passed through blood brain barrier and has a high affinity to an animal's brain, so it can be used to develop medicines for diagnosing schizophrenia.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 13, 2011Publication date: October 18, 2012Applicant: ATOMIC ENERGY COUNCIL-INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR ENERGY RESEARCHInventors: Shih-Ying Lee, Kang-Wei Chang, Chia-Chieh Chen

Publication number: 20100331577Abstract: There is disclosed a method for using 123I to radiolabel SnADAM become an serotonin transporter radiotracer(123I -ADAM). At first, there is provided SnADAM solution via mixing SnADAM with ethanol. The SnADAM solution is shaken and further mixed with thin KI solution. The SnADAM solution is mixed with 123I-NH4I solution and H2O2 solution. The SnADAM-123I-NH4I—H2O2 mixture is kept still. Later, the SnADAM solution is mixed with NaHSO3 solution, and the mixture is shaken and further mixed with buffer solution of saturated Na2HPO4. The SnADAM solution is filled in an Accubond C8 column. The Accubond C8 column is washed with sterile water for injection to isolate non-reacting 123I ions. The Accubond C8 column is washed with ethanol, thus providing 123I-ADAM. The 123I-ADAM is blended in normal saline mixture. Millipore Millex GV is used to filter impurities and bacteria from the 123I-ADAM solution.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 23, 2008Publication date: December 30, 2010Applicant: ATOMIC ENERGY COUNCIL-INSTITUTE OF NUCLEAR ENERGY RESEARCHInventors: Chia-Chieh Chen, Shih-Ying Lee, Hung-Chun Kao, Kang-Wei Chang, Li-Chung Hwang
