  • Publication number: 20080012085
Abstract: A packaging structure of an optical motion sensor includes a packaging substrate, an optical detection module, and a packaging mask. The optical detection module is provided on the packaging substrate and is electrically connected with the packaging substrate. The packaging mask is disposed on the packaging substrate to package the optical detection module. Further, the packaging mask is provided therein with a transparent body and a hole formed on the packaging mask. Via the above structure, light, passes through the transparent body inside the hole, and thus shines the optical detection module. In this way, the optical detection module is isolated from dirt in the air, thereby reducing possible damage or interference and reducing the volume of the packaging structure.

  • Publication number: 20070263138
Abstract: A CIS (Contact Image Sensor) device that doesn't require any optical imaging elements includes a circuit board, a light-emitting module, and an image-sensing module. The light-emitting module is electrically connected with the circuit board. The image-sensing module is electrically connected with the circuit board and disposed beside the light-emitting module. Thereby, a light beam is projected from the light-emitting module to a document to form a bouncing light, and the image-sensing module is adjacent to the document to receive the bouncing light for sensing the image of the document. Hence, the present invention without the known GRIN not only reduces the manufacturing cost and the size of the CIS device, but also solves the known problems of assembly tolerance and large size.

  • Publication number: 20070104355
Abstract: A test tool used by a skin pattern reader includes a flexible body and a fixing clamp. The flexible body has a lumpy surface or a flat surface. The flexible body is made of material having a refractive index the same as human skin. The fixing clamp is used to fix the flexible body. The fixing clamp also drives the flexible body to let its lumpy surface press close to the skin pattern reader, so as to perform related function testing of the skin pattern reader. Through a flexible body having a refractive index similar to human skin, a standardized golden sample can be established, and drawbacks in the prior art caused by a flat sheet of paper having alternately-arranged stripes or by the skin pattern of the testee can also be solved.

  • Publication number: 20070025601
Abstract: An algorithm for rebuilding 1D information into 2D information is proposed, in which a 1D skin pattern sensing module composed of a linearly arranged sensing element array continuously reads 1D near field image information of a skin pattern to be measured. Matched with an algorithm for detecting the relative speed of the continuous 1D information, 2D information of the skin pattern can be obtained.

  • Publication number: 20060268324
Abstract: A multi-function printer includes a photo module, an output module and a process module. The photo module is used for obtaining at least one image information. The output module is electrically connected with the photo module for outputting the at least one image information obtained by the photo module. The process module is electrically connected with the photo module and the output module for controlling the information process and transition between the photo module, the output module and an external system. The multi-function printer adopts the photo module to replace the scan module of the prior art to obtain the images. Therefore, regardless of the resolution of obtained image, the present invention has a merit of rapidly obtaining the images. Moreover, the photo module also can obtain the images by a three-dimensional method and can be disassembled from the multi-function printer and operated alone as a general digital still camera.

  • Publication number: 20060140451
Abstract: A motion detection method makes use of a reference sensor and a plurality of comparison sensors of a motion detection module to capture detection data. With the operation of a domain transformation and the use of discriminants (for direction, the number of times of movement, and speed), the number of sensors used can be decreased, and it is not necessary to use sensors with good uniformity. Moreover, conventional complicated algorithms can be simplified, and the influence on original detection data due to environment, electric noise and difference between sensors can be avoided, thereby precisely calculating out the motion direction and speed of the motion detection module.

  • Publication number: 20060140458
Abstract: A fingerprint scanning device and an electronic device with a fingerprint scanning function are proposed. The fingerprint scanning device has a contact image sensing module, a signal conversion controller, a module controller and an interface controller. The contact image sensing module captures a fingerprint image. The signal conversion controller converts this analog fingerprint image to a digital signal. The module controller controls the contact image sensing module and the signal conversion module. The interface controller transmits the digital signal to a controller in an electronic device. The contact image sensing module is used to lower the cost and lengthen the lifetime of use of the fingerprint scanning device, and to make the captured fingerprint image clearer. The interface controller is connected to the signal conversion module and the module controller to make the digital signal transmitted by the signal conversion controller more easily accessible.

  • Publication number: 20060140459
Abstract: A contact image sensing module with movement detecting function has a main circuit substrate, a linear sensor array, at least a movement detecting element, a light source, a light-guiding device, and a detecting surface. The main substrate is a flex-rigid composite substrate having a structure making the linear sensor array have a tilted angle. The linear sensor array has at least a comparison sensor corresponding to at least a movement detecting element. The movement detecting element and the comparison sensor, respectively, draw a section of reference image data and a section of comparison image data from a sensed object. After processing a shift-times deciding equation and a speed deciding equation, the moving speed of the sensed object relating to the movement detecting element and the comparison sensor can be obtained. The structure of the light-guiding device makes the light from the light source to the sensed object more uniform.
