  • Publication number: 20120140116
Abstract: An image adjusting method is adapted to an image adjusting circuit. The image adjusting method includes following steps. An image signal is received and up-sampled to generate a first up-sampled image signal and a second up-sampled image signal. The first up-sampled image signal includes interpolated pixels and original pixels. Values of the interpolated pixels and the original pixels are detected, and a weight value is outputted according to the detection result. Whether the values of the interpolated pixels are adjusted or not is determined based on the detection result. According to the weight value, the second up-sampled image signal and the adjusted first up-sampled image signal are mixed to output a mixed image signal. An image adjusting circuit is also provided.

  • Publication number: 20120054282
Abstract: Architecture and method of hybrid P2P/client-server for data transmission involve using a P2P grouping method to determine the data transmission mode being a P2P mode or a client-server mode by an original source, for a plurality of peers connected to the original source. The original source further divides the plurality of peers into a P2P group and a client-server group, and dynamically determines the respective number of peers and the upstream bandwidth for the two groups. Thereby, during a data transmission procedure, it may achieve a performance balance among the propagation delay, restriction of upstream bandwidth for data sources, network throughput and system loading.

  • Patent number: 8089912
Abstract: A multicast communication method for relaying a multicast packet from a first member node to a plurality of second member nodes in a wireless network is provided, wherein the first member node and the second member nodes belong to a same group and can communicate with each other via a plurality of non-member nodes. In the multicast communication method, a number and distances of the second member nodes are recorded. The multicast packet is received from the first member node, and a waiting time is determined according to the number and the distances of the second member nodes. Whether the multicast packet is broadcasted by any other relay node is monitored during the waiting time. If the multicast packet is already broadcasted to all the second member nodes by other relay node, the multicast packet is not broadcasted; otherwise, the multicast packet is broadcasted after the waiting time elapses.

  • Patent number: 7965773
Abstract: A video processing apparatus and methodology use a combination of a processor and a video decoding hardware block to decode video data by using a reference block cache memory to perform motion compensation decode operations in the video decoding hardware block. To improve the cache hit rate, each memory access for required reference block(s) is used to fetch one or more additional reference blocks which can be used to improve the cache hit rate with future motion compensation operations. Speculative fetch control logic selects the additional reference blocks by using a frequency history table to accumulate compared motion vector information for a current motion compensation block with motion vector information from previously processed motion compensation blocks.
