  • Publication number: 20070159559
Abstract: A fast control method controls the time of switch on-off and the stand-by operation of a projection television. The method with control units including state-assigned flags, state-completed flags and delay of a time control unit quickly carries out state transformations of the system to shorten the period turning on/off the system and to prevent the system from suffering.

  • Publication number: 20070097329
Abstract: A rear projection system includes a partially transmissive reflector, an image source installed on one side of the reflector for projecting an image to the reflector, a screen for receiving the image projected from the image source and reflected from the reflector so as to display the image, at least one light sensor installed on the other side of the reflector for sensing light of the image projected from the image source to the reflector and passing through the reflector, and a control module coupled to the light sensor for controlling the image source to project a next image according to the sensing result of the light sensor.

  • Publication number: 20070052870
Abstract: A convergence calibration method for a display includes generating a test pattern of similar width with respect to a sensor and expanding the area of the test pattern from one side of the sensor until the whole sensor is illuminated. During the process of expanding the test pattern, the sensor continues to measure signals from the test patterns. Based on the maximum energy measured by the sensor, a digital judgment is performed for calculating convergence parameters.

  • Publication number: 20070019169
Abstract: An apparatus and a method for driving the light source of a projector are provided. The apparatus includes an adjustment unit, a lamp driver, a phase lock loop (PLL) and a mercury lamp. The adjustment unit provides an enabling signal and regulates the frequency of the enabling signal according to an indication signal. The lamp driver provides a driving signal according to the enabling signal and an input voltage, wherein the frequency of the driving signal is varied with the frequency of the enabling signal. The PLL provides a synchronized driving signal according to the driving signal and a vertical synchronization signal, wherein the synchronized driving signal is phase-synchronous with the frame field of the projector. The mercury lamp serves as the light source of the projector according to the synchronized driving signal.

  • Publication number: 20060279494
Abstract: A color compensation system for a display including least one display panel and a light source is provided. The system includes a memory, a modulator and a controller. The memory stores a number of sets of gamma look up tables (LUTs) consisting of a color data. The modulator is electrically connected with the memory and the display panel. The controller is electrically connected with the memory and the light source. When the light source is turned on, the controller counts the use time of the light source. When the use time reaches a first predetermined value, the controller selects one of the sets of gamma look up tables (LUTs) in the memory and provides the color data of the set of gamma look up table to the modulator, and the modulator provides a driving voltage to the display panel by using the color data.

  • Publication number: 20020079398
Abstract: Cord winding device for large-size sunshade, including a seat body, a tube body and a cord winder. The seat body is tightly fitted around the tube body. The cord winder is passed through two sides of the seat body and tube body. The cord winder is composed of a locating seat and a crank movably connected with the locating seat. The locating seat is connected with the seat body. An outer circumference of the locating seat is formed with multiple oblique recesses which are serially connected to form an annular face. A locating block outward projects from upper side of the crank. A front end of a bent insertion pin is passed through a through hole of the locating block and fitted with a resilient member. A locking member is disposed on the crank for cooperatively for winding a cord.
