    Abstract: A method for shaping video streams applied to a first set-up box collects watching history of user and previous playback information and analyzes same to generate multiple bitrate combinations. First and second stream buffers of two respective video streams are initialized according to the bitrate combinations and the history. First and second image chunks of the first and second video streams are downloaded and stored in the first and second stream buffers and displayed in a first display device connecting to the first set-up box. Buffer ratios are determined and when the buffer ratio of the first is equal to the second, image chunks are continued to be downloaded from the second. If the buffer ratio of the first is not equal to the second, the video stream with smaller stream buffer ratio is selected for continuing to download the image chunks.

The server then encrypts the preprocessed CAPTCHA image into two shared images and transmits same to the client device. The client device renders the two shared images on a display through a user interface to facilitate superimposition of the two shared images and the user can visually decrypt the preprocessed CAPTCHA image and input an authentication code according to the CAPTCHA characters.

    Abstract: A computing device is able to detect one or more motion events based on two consecutive images, such as a first image and a second image. In the detection process, the computing device assigns identifiers to difference blocks retrieved from a plurality of first blocks of the first image, then defines a scanning window and moves the scanning window on a preset route over the first image. A new identical identifier is assigned for difference blocks within a current image subarea which falls into the scanning window. After a scanning period is completed, the computing device determines the happening of a motion event according to sufficient pixel similarities found in one of new identifiers.

The pulse width modulation unit controls the first switch and the second switch power to allow or disallow electrical conduction. The sensor senses the state of the inductance in respect of a sound event, a vibration event, and a drop in current level. When the inductance is saturated and gives rise to one or more of the foregoing events, the sensor sends a signal to the pulse width modulation unit, which controls the first switch to cut off power and the second switch to allow conduction, allowing the inductance to release all its electrical energy.
