  • Patent number: 7446492
Abstract: A fan system and a stopping method for the fan system are provided. The fan system is electrically connected to a power supply and receives the power therefrom. The fan system includes an energy storage apparatus, a motor and a start-up device. The energy storage apparatus receives and stores the power. The motor is electrically connected to the energy storage apparatus and receives the power. The driver is coupled between the energy storage apparatus and the motor to form a control path and generates a driving signal to the motor according to received power. The start-up device is coupled between the energy storage apparatus and the motor to form a power path therewith. When no power is provided to the fan system, the energy storage apparatus releases the stored power and the start-up device generates a start-up signal to the motor in accordance with the released power so as to form a short-circuit loop in the motor to stop the motor.

  • Publication number: 20080131100
Abstract: A fan system includes a connecting device, a controlling device and a fan device. The connecting device includes a first pin receiving at least one driving signal, and a second pin receiving a start signal, wherein a length of the first pin is greater than a length of the second pin. The controlling device is electrically connected with the connecting device and includes an enabling unit. The enabling unit generates at least one first enabling signal according to the start signal, and the controlling device outputs the driving signal and the first enabling signal. The fan device is electrically connected with the controlling device and includes at least one fan. The fan device transmits the driving signal to the fan and drives the fan according to the first enabling signal.

  • Publication number: 20070285859
Abstract: A power monitoring apparatus for receiving an external input signal includes a first modulating unit, a second modulating unit and a comparing unit. The first modulating unit receives and modulates an input signal into a first signal. The second modulating unit receives and modulates the input signal into a second signal. The comparing unit is electrically connected with the first modulating unit and the second modulating unit and has a first input terminal, a second input terminal and an output terminal. The first input terminal receives the first signal and the second input terminal receives the second signal. When a difference between the first signal and the second signal is higher or lower than a predetermined range, the output terminal outputs a control signal.

  • Publication number: 20070116577
Abstract: A fan system for receiving an input voltage from exterior includes a first fan module, a second fan module and a seriate starting module. The seriate starting module is electrically connected with the first fan module and the second fan module. The seriate starting module receives the input voltage and starts the first fan module according to the input voltage, and starts the second fan module according to the input voltage after the first fan module is started for a predetermined time.

  • Publication number: 20070116553
Abstract: A fan system includes a fan module, a starting module, a temperature-sensing element and a controlling module. The starting module is electrically connected with the fan module for starting it. The temperature-sensing element generates a sensing signal in accordance with an ambient temperature. The controlling module receives the sensing signal for controlling the starting module. When the ambient temperature is higher than a first temperature or is lower than a second temperature, the controlling module controls the starting module to disable the fan module.
