  • Publication number: 20150055366
Abstract: A light guide plate with multi-directional structures includes a main body, a plurality of first microstructures and a plurality of second microstructures. The main body includes a light-incident surface, a light-emitting surface and a reflecting surface. The light-incident surface connects the light-emitting surface and the reflecting surface. The first microstructures are disposed on the light-emitting surface or the reflecting surface and arranged along a first extending direction. The second microstructures are disposed on the light-emitting surface or the reflecting surface and arranged along a second extending direction. The second microstructures and the first microstructures are disposed on the same plane and intersect with each other. Each of the second microstructures is a single stripe pattern, and has a width which becomes gradually smaller from one end of the second microstructure near the light-incident surface to the other end of the second microstructure away from the light-incident surface.

  • Patent number: 8445932
Abstract: A light-emitting diode device is described, which includes a luminous body and a colloid. The luminous body has a light-emitting surface and a bottom surface on opposite sides. The luminous body has a first length, a first width and a beam angle. The colloid covers the luminous body. The colloid includes a first surface and a second surface on opposite sides. The second surface has a second length and a second width. The colloid has a refractive index. A distance between the light-emitting surface of the luminous body and the second surface of the colloid is smaller than a first value and greater than a second value. The first value < the ? ? second ? ? width - the ? ? first ? ? width 2 · cot ? ? ? . The second value < the ? ? second ? ? width - the ? ? first ? ? width 2 · cot ? ? v . The sin ?=1/the refractive index of the colloid, and the ? is a full width at half maximum of the beam angle.

  • Publication number: 20080123364
Abstract: A light guide board includes an incidence surface, an emitting surface, and a reflection surface. The incidence surface is frosted and has a roughness-enhanced zone corresponding in location to a light source. The emitting surface forms micro-structures on portions adjacent to the incidence surface and two opposite end surfaces. The portions of the emitting surface forming the micro-structures have magnitude increased roughness as compared to portions that are not provided with micro-structures so that light transmitting through the micro-structures is subject to further diffusion. The reflection surface forms a plurality of prisms extending from the incidence surface with a small (shallow) depth to an opposite surface with a large (deep) depth, with the height of the prisms increasing with the length thereof so that the prism surface of the prisms changes from minimum to maximum, which ensures uniformity of the light emitted from the light guide board.

  • Patent number: 7347610
Abstract: A light guide plate has a light exiting side, a reflection side opposite to the light exiting side, and a light entering side. A plurality of miniature diffusing entities, each having a curved surface and two slant surfaces extending from the two ends of the curved surface, are formed on the light entering side. The combination of the curved surface and the two slant surfaces cause light emitted from point-like light sources to have wider incident angles and be uniformly scattered into the light guide plate.

  • Patent number: 7278774
Abstract: A light-conductive panel of side-light type backlight module is disclosed. The reflective plane of the light-conductive panel is formed with a plurality of light conductors, and one lateral side of the conductor is formed with an auxiliary light conductor which is formed along the light conductor. The leak light source which can be led into the light-conductive panel from the light conductor can be connected by the matching auxiliary light conductor such that the leaked light source can be further led to the interior of the light conductive panel so that the chance of the leaked light source on the reflective plate is reduced, which will reduce the light energy exhaustion caused by the light source being fallen onto the reflective plate.

  • Publication number: 20070076424
Abstract: A backlight module device is disclosed. The module comprises lighting tube and light conductive panel having a light coupling device therebetween. The light-receiving end plane of the light coupling device is at least a non-vertical plane so that the light source from the tube, via refraction, changes its direction at the light-incident light-field distribution of the light-conductive panel. This will reduce the loss of light source when the light source passes through the reverse light incident end plane such that the light source is fully utilized.

  • Publication number: 20060164863
Abstract: A light guide plate that can uniformly scatter lights emitted from point light sources is provided. The light guide plate has a light exiting side, a reflection side opposite to the light exiting side, and a light entering side. On the light entering side, there are multiple miniature diffusing entities. Each of the diffusing entities has a curved surface and two slant surfaces extending from the two ends of the curved surface to the light entering side. The curved surface causes the lights from the light sources to undergo multiple-angled refractions. The two slant surfaces cause the lights from the light sources to undergo fixed-angled refraction in both left and right directions. As such, the lights emitted form the light sources could have wider incident angles and could be uniformly scattered into the light guide plate.
