  • Publication number: 20090244905
Abstract: In an input device with an illumination function including an illumination device having light-emitting diodes, strip-like light-guide plates that distribute light emitted from the light-emitting diodes to the side surfaces other than a light-incident surface, and a planar light-guide plate that is provided with a plurality of through-holes and laterally propagates light incident from the strip-like light-guide plates and emits the light from through-holes, the planar light-guide plate is provided with strip-like light-guide-plate providing grooves at portions where the through-holes are not provided, and the strip-like light-guide plates are provided in the strip-like light-guide-plate providing grooves such that the side surfaces of the strip-like light-guide-plate providing grooves and the side surfaces of the strip-like light-guide plates face each other.

  • Publication number: 20040164816
Abstract: A nonreciprocal circuit element with reduced insertion loss and excellent manufacturability is provided. The nonreciprocal circuit element includes first, second, and third central conductors 5, 6, and 7 located on a ferrite member 4 on different planes in a vertical direction with dielectric bodies sandwiched therebetween so that parts thereof cross each other in the vertical direction, a first yoke 1 arranged so as to cover a magnet 2, a second yoke 3 that constitutes a magnetic closed circuit together with the first yoke 1, and an insulating base 8 made of a molded synthetic resin for positioning the ferrite member 4. A plurality of input and output terminals 9 and 10 made of a material having a smaller electric resistance than that of the second yoke 3 is mounted in the insulating base 8. As a result, it is possible to obtain a nonreciprocal circuit element with reduced insertion loss compared to the conventional nonreciprocal circuit design.

  • Patent number: 4707062
Abstract: A star-shaped coupler for distributing the light signal emitted by any one of input-output devices among the other devices is disposed among these devices. The coupler comprises a plurality of single-core optical fibers for branching purposes. Each one end of those branching fibers whose number is less than the number of the input-output devices by one is bound together and is opposed to the end surface of the output single-core fiber for one of the input-output devices. The other end surfaces of the branching fibers are opposed to their respective end surfaces of the input single-core fibers for the other input-output devices. The end surfaces of the output fibers for the other input-output devices are connected with the end surfaces of the input fibers through the branching fibers. The other ends of the branching fibers which are opposed to their respective end surfaces of the input fibers are bound together to form bound portions corresponding to the input fibers.

  • Patent number: 4700251
Abstract: A disk recording-reproducing device having a carriage with a read/write head, a screw shaft to shift the carriage with an engaging element through coupling between a spiral groove of the screw shaft and the engaging element, and a stepping motor to rotate the screw shaft. The spiral groove is composed of a number of groove portions each with a straight bottom whose angle of lead is substantially zero degree that are displaced successively, circumferentially and axially. Preferably, the screw shaft has plane portions for its positioning, and a rotor of the stepping motor has magnetization points being set correspondingly to the lines of the groove portions.
