  • Publication number: 20150147370
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing metallic oxide particle-containing resin powder including: dispersing metallic oxide particles having a specific average particle diameter and a UV shielding function in a (meth)acrylic-based resin monomer to produce a (meth)acrylic-based resin monomer dispersion liquid; suspending or emulsifying the (meth)acrylic-based resin monomer dispersion liquid; and, adding a polymerization initiator to cause suspension polymerization or emulsification polymerization, thereby generating metallic oxide particle-containing resin powder, and provides metallic oxide particles which are dispersed in the resin powder without being exposed on the surface of the resin powder, the powder includes fine particles, the UV absorbing performance, and the transparency with respect to visible light rays are improved.

  • Publication number: 20120177707
Abstract: The present invention relates to metallic oxide particle-containing resin powder of in which metallic oxide particles having a UV shielding function, in which the average particle diameter of the resin powder is 0.1 ?m to 1 ?m, are contained in a (meth)acrylic-based resin. The metallic oxide particles are particles that include one or two or more selected from the group of zinc oxide, titanium oxide, cerium oxide, and iron oxide, and have an average particle diameter of 0.003 ?m to 0.1 ?m. The content of the metallic oxide particles in the resin powder is 1% by mass to 80% by mass, and the metallic oxide particles are dispersed in the resin powder without being exposed on the surface of the resin powder. The powder includes fine particles, and the UV absorbing performance and the transparency with respect to visible light rays are improved.
