  • Publication number: 20230228443
Abstract: The derivation unit determines the stability of a parasympathetic nerve activity of the sleeper for each environment temperature, and derives a correspondence relationship between the environment temperature and the stability of the parasympathetic nerve activity of the sleeper. An estimation unit estimates an appropriate value of the environment temperature suitable for the sleeper based on the correspondence relationship derived by the derivation unit.

  • Publication number: 20220211972
Abstract: An environment control device includes a determination unit and a supply unit. The determination unit determines the type of symptom that disturbs sleep of a sleeper. The supply unit supplies the sleeper with a stimulus that reduces the symptom, according to the type of the symptom, disturbing the sleep, determined by the determination unit. The symptom includes at least snoring, and the determination unit determines whether the snoring is due to nasal congestion or due to constriction of the throat.

  • Patent number: 10575736
Abstract: A plurality of pulse position candidate extraction units characterize waves included in a vibration signal from a vibration sensor using predetermined specific forms and extract respective sets of pulse position candidates. A frequency distribution calculation unit calculates a frequency distribution of the pulse interval and a frequency distribution of variation in pulse intervals on each of the extracted sets of pulse position candidates. A distribution ratio calculation unit calculates the distribution ratio of a modal class to the total frequency in each of the calculated frequency distributions. A selection unit selects a set of pulse position candidates from among the extracted sets of pulse position candidates using the calculated relative frequencies as indicators for evaluating accuracy of the sets of pulse position candidates.

  • Publication number: 20190133530
Abstract: A seat portion includes a first layer, a second layer, and a third layer that are stacked sequentially from the surface side to the inner side of the seat portion. The second layer has a higher stiffness than the third layer, and the first layer has a lower stiffness than the third layer. A pressure sensitive part has a pressure sensitive-part body arranged between the first layer and the second layer.

  • Patent number: 9500603
Abstract: A microcrystal structure analysis apparatus includes: a magnetic field generation unit; a sample drive unit configured to rotate a sample container containing a sample having microcrystals suspended therein relative to the magnetic field generation unit such that a temporally varying magnetic field is applied to the sample container to three-dimensionally orient the microcrystals; an X-ray source configured to apply X rays to the sample container that is being rotated by the sample drive unit; an X-ray detection unit capable of detecting the X rays that have passed through and have been diffracted by the sample container; and a state switching device configured to cause a state where detection of the X rays by the X-ray detection unit is disenabled or a state where detection of the X rays by the X-ray detection unit is enabled, in accordance with a rotational position of a specific part which is a part of the sample container in a rotation direction thereof.
