    Abstract: A mobile phone search device and search method thereof. Firstly, utilize a portable mobile phone detector to transmit a base station signal in its transmission region, and this region covers at least one or more mobile phones. Then, when the mobile phone detects the base station signal, it can log onto a network to establish communication channel with the portable mobile phone detector, and that can assign a communication number to each of the mobile phones, for the mobile phones to communicate in voice signal or short message with the portable mobile phone detector on its own initiative. Through applications of the mobile phone search device and search method thereof, the mobile phone having its communication with the base station disrupted can be detected and communication re-established swiftly, thus locating said trapped person and raising rescue efficiency significantly.

    Abstract: A device and a method for updating the function of a monitor according to the invention. By using the USB signal lines directly for data transmission and recording the data of a monitor controller to the erasable programmable read only memory, data update can be achieved. Moreover, the erasable programmable read only memory can be updated by separating the recording path and the normal visual path using a recording path separator of the monitor controller. Compared to the prior art, the device and the method of the invention are more convenient and time saving for function update of the monitor.

    Abstract: An apparatus and a method for indicating the computational adder overflow status of bit-variable data employing a pipelining adder. An adder is provided with a first input port and a second input port, for adding a multiple-bit data input from the second input port. A plurality of shift registers receive and store in parallel a plurality of multiple-bit data output from the adder, and sequentially output the plurality of multiple-bit data to the second input port of the adder in response to a clock signal. A comparing circuit simultaneously receives and compares a multiple-bit data output from the adder and a multiple-bit data output from a plurality of shift registers. An overflow arbitrating unit arbitrates the overflow status of each multiple-bit data in accordance with a comparing result from the comparing circuit as well as a selective signal.

The expandable controller includes a keypad. A plurality of key-switches of the keypad generates key-pressed status signals corresponding to key-pressed status of the plurality of key-switches. An input port of a key-pressed status control circuit connected to the keypad receives the key-pressed status signals. The key-pressed status control circuit also receives a locking signal supplied by the control deck. A shift register is provided with a data input port, a clock input port, a reset input port and a data output port. The reset input port of the shift register is connected to the output port of the key-pressed status control circuit for receiving the key-pressed status signals from the keypad.
