    Abstract: A multimedia control method, which includes following parts. A first program preview request for a specified program channel is received from a set-top box. Multiple video clips are acquired according to the first program preview request and the multiple video clips are divided into at least a first video clip group and a second video clip group with sequence number. A first multicast channel is set for the first video clip group, and a second multicast channel is set for the second video clip group. The first video clip group is sent to the set-top box using the first multicast channel, and the second video clip group is sent to the set-top box using the second multicast channel.

The CPU comprises a first table specification, a second table specification, an inverse discrete cosine transformation (IDCT) module, a color space converting module and an entropy decoder. The entropy decoder retrieves and processes input image data as a two-dimensional quantized image according to the first table specification. The graphics processing unit performs a dequantizing operation on the input image data according to the second table specification. The IDCT module performs an IDCT operation on the dequantized input image data. The color space converting module performs a color space conversion on the input image data and outputs the converted image data.

    Abstract: A replayable TV system (100) comprises a multicast server (10), access to an IP TV network (20), a media server (30), at least one set top box (40), and a time-shift server (50). The multicast server multicasts a TV program to the media server and the at least one set top box through the IP TV network. The time-shift server controls the media server to record the program. At any time point during the multicasting of a TV program, if a set top box requests the time-shift server replay the TV program, the time-shift server sends the uniform resource locator corresponding to the TV program to the set top box. The set top box switches automatically from multicast unicast mode and receives the recorded program from the media server.
