    Abstract: A kitchen exhaust appliance includes a body having a plurality of external surface panels and defining an exhaust vent therethrough, and an anti-dripping coating applied to at least one of the external surface panels. The anti-dripping coating is formulated from a solvent and a precursor. Upon application to the at least one of the external surface panels, the anti-dripping coating forms a hydrophobic surface having a water contact angle of at least 90 degrees thereon, or a surface with a low surface energy to avoid droplet conglomeration thereon.
