  • Patent number: 9432893
Abstract: A terminal apparatus (1) which is a radio transmitting/receiving apparatus receives, from a femto cell base station (home eNB), a pilot channel signal for reception quality measurement and a synchronization channel signal for synchronization. The terminal apparatus (1) has a whitelist stored therein indicative of an accessible femto cell, and determines whether or not a CSG cell of handover destination is accessible based on a PCI of the CSG cell acquired from the synchronization channel and the whitelist. The terminal apparatus (1) then adds the PCI and a CGI to a measurement report for reception quality, and transmits the measurement report to a macro eNB (base station apparatus (2)). In this way, it is possible to suppress wasteful signaling and prevent unnecessary resources from being reserved even when two or more CSG cells that use the same PCI are present in the macro cell.

  • Publication number: 20120100856
Abstract: In a mobile communication system, a handover of a terminal device (MT) from a macrocell base station (eNB) to a small cell base station (HeNB) is controlled via a host device (MME or HeNB-GW). Physical cell ID deployment map information (PCI deployment map information), which includes at least information (PCI/CGI map information) indicating the correspondences between physical cell IDs and unique cell IDs of CSG cells for which access is granted, is generated in the host device (MME or HeNB-GW). When the terminal device measures the reception quality for surrounding CSG cells for handover control to any of the CSG cells, the terminal device uses the PCI deployment map information to generate a measurement result report. Thus, a service interruption caused by handover control to an inaccessible small cell can be avoided, and the wait time for handover control can be reduced.

  • Publication number: 20120039468
Abstract: To make it possible for a legacy user equipment to correctly generate and use a common key between a user equipment and a base station and between the user equipment and a relay node when the relay nodes are being introduced. An HO request processing unit (202) extracts user equipment information from an HO request input from a receiver (201). A user equipment information determination section (204) determines a mode of handover from the user equipment information, and outputs a determination result to a key generator (205), a key information update request preparation section (206), and an HO command generator (207). In a case of handover from one base station to a relay node of another base station or to the other base station, the user equipment information determination section (204) commands the key information update request preparation section (206) to prepare a key information update request to a high-level management node so as to update the key information.

  • Publication number: 20120008776
Abstract: Influence on a key used between a user equipment and a base station, which will be imposed by unsecured updating of a key between the base station and a relay node when a relay node is being introduced is diminished. An HO request processing unit (202) extracts user equipment information from an HO request input from a receiver (201). A user equipment information determination section (204) determines a mode of handover from the user equipment information, and outputs a determination result to a key generator (205) and an HO command generator (207). In relation to a determination about a mode of handover on the basis of user equipment information, it is determined whether the handover is handover from a relay node to a base station, handover from a base station to a relay node, handover relating to relay nodes subordinate to the same base station, and the like.

  • Publication number: 20110300867
Abstract: A wireless communication system comprises an MME (70) which generates a white list in which CSG cells being accessible by a UE (10) are enumerated, an HeNB gateway (50) which decides based on the white list whether or not access is possible, and a home base station (30) (80) of the CSG cell. The UE (10) comprises a manual selection executing unit which accepts manual selection of a CSG cell, and requests the Mobility Management Entity to add the CSG cell to the white list; and a measurement report message generating unit which generates the Measurement report message attached with information indicating that the white list is being updated, if the CSG cell which has been accepted by manual selection is comprised in CSG cells to be included in the Measurement report message, and the selected CSG cell is not included in the white list stored in a white list storing unit.

  • Publication number: 20100216454
Abstract: It is possible to provide a radio transmission device, a radio reception device, and a radio communication system which can effectively use a resource of a unicast/MBMS cell and prevent increase of a signaling amount accompanying a cell switching. A UE measures a reception level of an MEMS-dedicated cell. When the measured reception level is below a first threshold value, the UE switches the serving MBMS cell from the MBMS-dedicated cell to the unicast/MBMS cell. Moreover, when the reception level of the MBMS-dedicated cell exceeds a second threshold value obtained by adding an offset value to the first threshold value, the serving MBMS cell is switched from the unicast/MBMS cell to the MBMS-dedicated cell.
