  • Patent number: 9274532
Abstract: A temperature controller for controlling a thermal module that raises or lowers the temperature of a thermal control platform that includes a reading interface and a control unit. The reading interface is used for reading parameters of the thermal control platform that are stored in a memory module. The control unit is connected to the reading interface for receiving the parameters read by the reading interface and for sending a control signal to the thermal module according to the corresponding parameters. The thermal module then raises or lowers the temperature according to the control signal. Accordingly, the temperature controller automatically adjusts the temperature control to different thermal control platforms.

  • Publication number: 20080110345
Abstract: An electronic device includes a housing comprising a vent, and a filter installed nearby the vent. The filter includes a first filter section made of a first material, and a second filter section made of a second material. The first material has better uniformity than the second material. The electronic device further includes a light emitter for emitting a light signal to the first filter section, a light receiver for receiving the light signal emitted from the light emitter, and a control unit electrically connected to the light receiver for operating the electronic device according to a receiving result of the light signal received by the light receiver.

  • Publication number: 20040105907
Abstract: This invention relates to inflammatory responses in isolated peripheral human neutrophils that studied in the presence or absence of specially processed Radix Stephaniae tetrandrae (SPRST). We conclude that SPRST exerts anti-inflammatory effects by interfering with reactive oxygen species (ROS) production and calcium (Ca2+) influx through G-protein modulation to prevent Mac-1 up-regulation and firm adhesion by neutrophils during activation.Thns, SPRST may be clinical beneficial in the prevention of cardiovascular disease, or other diseases related to over activation of neutrophil.

  • Patent number: 6022558
Abstract: The present invention is related to a trandermal preparation of oxicams. In preparation, it is comprised of 0.1% to 50% of an oxicam, 0.1% to 70% of pure compositions from Chinese herbal enhancers as enhancers, as well as other necessary excipients for transdermal delivery of an active ingredient. This transdermal preparation is intended to be used for anti-inflammatory cases, but with few gastrointestinal side effects. Based on results from testing this preparation on nude mice skin, rabbit skin, and human leg skin, it was found that skin penetration of the transdermal preparation containing 20% terpineol oil was 157.6 times higher than that of the control group.
