Abstract: A computer device, a setting method for a memory module, and a mainboard are provided. The computer device includes a memory module, a processor, and the mainboard. A basic input output system (BIOS) of the mainboard stores a custom extreme memory profile (XMP). When the processor executes the BIOS, so that the computer device displays a user interface (UI), the BIOS displays multiple default XMPs stored in the memory module and the custom XMP through the UI. The BIOS stores one of the default XMPs and the custom XMP to the memory module according to a selecting result of the one of the default XMPs and the custom XMP displayed on the UI.

Abstract: A system for parameter configuration includes a display unit, a storage unit, and a processing unit, in which a basic input and output system (BIOS) and a parameter setting interface are stored in the storage unit. The parameter setting interface includes a two-dimensional (2D) screen, a three-dimensional (3D) icon and plural parameter setting menus. A method for parameter configuration includes executing the BIOS and calling the parameter setting interface using the processing unit; displaying the 2D screen on the display unit; displaying 3D icon on the 2D screen; selecting one of object images of the 3D icon; displaying a parameter setting menu corresponding to the selected object image on the 2D screen; and adjusting parameter values of the BIOS using the corresponding parameter setting menu. The invention provides an easy and convenient operation for the user because setup parameters of the BIOS can be set intuitively.

The management method comprises: firstly turning on a power source of the computer device; then performing a power-on verification procedure by a BIOS of the computer device; determining whether passing through a power-on verification according to a result of performing the power-on verification procedure; starting an OS of the computer device if passing through the power-on verification; and crashing the computer device if not passing through the power-on verification.
