  • Patent number: 9456127
Abstract: A monitoring device, system, and blur detection method of images separate a monitored area into an in-focus area and an out-of-focus area after focusing is done and then analyze the following captured images for how the blocks that makes up the in-focus area change in the blurriness and the proportion of the blocks with changed blurriness to overall blocks in the in-focus area. When the proportion of a captured image meets a specific condition, the captured image is then determined as a blur image. A consecutive number of determined blur images will trigger an auto focus procedure.

  • Patent number: 8743226
Abstract: An exposure adjustment method for night-vision camera includes the following steps. A first image and a second image are shot with an infrared light source of different intensity; the shot first image and second image are divided into a plurality of image blocks, in which positions of the image blocks in the first image are respectively corresponding to those in the second image; a light reflectivity of the image blocks of the first image is compared with a light reflectivity of the image blocks of the second image, and object distances of image objects are determined; the image object having greater object distance obtains a lower light measuring weight, and the image object having smaller object distance obtains a higher light measuring weight; and an exposure parameter of image images is adjusted according to the image weights of the two images and light measuring weights of the blocks.

  • Patent number: 7525738
Abstract: A lens system includes, in sequence from an object side to an image side, a first lens group having negative refractive power; a second lens group having positive refractive power, which includes a composite lens with aspheric resin layers formed on object side and image side thereof, respectively; and a third lens group having positive refractive power. In zooming, the first lens group remains stationary and when performing from the wide-angle end to the telephoto end, the second lens group moves away from the image plane, while the third lens group moves toward the image plane, whereby the distance between the first and second lens groups is decreased, while the distance between the second and third lens groups is increased.

  • Publication number: 20070229796
Abstract: An optical range finder measuring distance to a target and capturing the image of the target simultaneously is provided. The optical range finder includes an emitting system emitting a pulse toward the target and a receiving system receiving the pulse reflected from the target, to calculate the distance there between. The emitting system or the receiving system includes a beam splitter for separating the visible beam of the target from the pulse, and the visible beam of the target is received by an image sensor. Thus, the optical range finder measures the distance and captures the image of the target. Moreover, the optical range finder further includes a display showing the captured image and distance data.

  • Publication number: 20040227926
Abstract: A receiving module applied in a rangefinder. The receiving module, receiving beams of different incident angles, includes a light pipe having a receiving end, an emitting end and a reflecting surface connecting the receiving end and the emitting end. The light pipe also has an optical axis perpendicular to the receiving and the emitting ends. When beams of different incident angles from different positions enter the light pipe, the light pipe confines the beams to a certain area. Using the receiving module of the invention, the rangefinder can measure targets from all ranges.

  • Publication number: 20020030857
Abstract: An optical scanner has a scanning lens device comprising a lens module and at least two lenses mounted on the lens module to scan an object separately such that the object is divided into two scanning areas. The image data of the two scanning areas are integrated to form a complete image of the object.
