Abstract: This application discloses a system for providing information related to an observed entity to a user. The system includes an information database, a score database, an inference engine and an information providing module. The information database has a plurality of messages stored therein and the messages are related to the observed entity. The score database has a plurality of scores recorded thereinto, and the scores are corresponding to the messages and are input by the user. The inference engine retrieves at least one selected message from the messages stored in the information database according to at least one source data and the score database and generates a list of the selected message. The information providing module provides the selected message to the user according to the list.

Abstract: A method for providing a timeline-based graphical user interface includes displaying a plurality of edited images on a graphical user interface, and arranging edited images according to a timeline, with each of the edited images having a specific feature; and enlarging one of the edited images, which is the closest to a pre-defined visual center of the graphical user interface. The graphical user interface is substantially in a shape of a rectangle. The edited images are arranged along a straight line, which is parallel to a long side of the rectangle and passes a center of the rectangle.

Abstract: The disclosure provides a storage medium, an expansion base and an operation method thereof combined with a portable electronic device. The portable electronic device is pre-installed with an application program and includes a touch screen. The expansion base is paired with the portable electronic device and accommodates the portable electronic device. When the portable electronic device is accommodated inside the expansion base, a touch window on the surface of the expansion base exposes at least a portion of the touch screen, and the portable electronic device executes the application program to automatically adjust a size or a display position of a display image of the touch screen to correspond to the touch window.

Abstract: A method for providing a graphical user interface with animated background, including displaying a background image in a display area and an image movable on the background image; determining whether to display an animated object according to a predetermined condition to obtain a result when the image is moved to a pre-defined visual focus; and displaying the animated object when the result indicates that it is determined to display the animated object. The image is movable along a central line of the display area, and the predetermined condition comprises that a time parameter is met.
