  • Patent number: 6088713
Abstract: If an unnecessary sentence is included in data tabulated at a display, a head address is prepared in a memory region for storing a new data group. A counter m indicating a function and a counter n indicating a data number corresponding to the function are initialized. A determination whether or not the data (Y(m)) is necessary is made for every function (X(m, n)), and the only necessary data is stored in the memory. This operation is performed to check four functions and 100 pieces of data for each of the four functions. When the operation is completed, the resultant data is stored as a set of data in the memory.

  • Patent number: 5384579
Abstract: An information display apparatus having an input unit for entering a variety of data and processing requests, a processing unit, and a display unit for displaying input data and processing results is provided. The display unit displays two or more data groups in separate display areas, and provides scrolling functions to individually scroll each display area in predetermined directions as designated by the input unit. The processing unit includes an automatic power-off function for automatically turning off power to the apparatus if it remains non-operated for a predetermined time period. The processing unit also includes a continuous search function for continuously searching data in a predetermined order, and a search stop device that automatically stops a continuous search after a predetermined amount of search or search time, thereby enabling the automatic power-off function.

  • Patent number: 4961008
Abstract: An electrical circuit is powered by a power supply. There is a first operating circuit which is always energized with electrical power from the power supply. The first operating circuit is operatively connected to a power reducing device. There is a second operating circuit which can, for example, operate the processing portion of a small appliance, such as an electronic calculator. The second operating circuit receives power from the power supply, but is not energized at all times. That is, the second operating circuit is energized with electrical power from the power supply when it is required to run the processing portion of the small appliance. When the small appliance is not run, the second operating circuit does not operate. There is, for an example, an ON/OFF switch on the electrical appliance, to turn the power supply on and off.
