    Abstract: A traveling route display apparatus for a moving body such as an automotive vehicle includes a position detecting section, an output section, a display section, and a converting section. The position detecting section detects a current position of the moving body by using a signal transmitted from a satellite. The output section outputs map information including character information corresponding to a position on the map recorded on a recording medium, etc. The display section displays the map information delivered from the output section, and displays, on the map information, the current position of the moving body detected by the position detecting section. In addition, the converting section converts character information corresponding to the current position of the moving body detected by the position detecting section into voice to output it.
