Abstract: The invention is related to a novel phenylacetylene derivates of formula: ##STR1## wherein X represents hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted C.sub.1-6 alkyl; Y represents hydrogen, halogen, cyano, nitro, optionally substituted C.sub.1-6 alkyl, C.sub.1-6 alkoxy, C.sub.3-8 cycloalkoxy, optionally substituted C.sub.1-6 alkylthio, C.sub.3-8 cycloalkylthio, C.sub.1-6 alkylsulfinyl, optionally substituted C.sub.1-6 alkylsulfonyl, C.sub.3-8 cycloalkylsulfonyl, C.sub.1-6 alkylsulfonyloxy, optionally substituted sulfonamide, optionally substituted carboxamide, etc., or Y may form together with Z which is bonded to the vicinal carbon atom a 5- or 6-membered ring; n is 0 or 1; Z represents hydrogen or halogen; m is 1 or 2; R represents hydrogen, halogen, C.sub.1-6 alkyl, tri(C.sub.1-6 alkyl)silyl, COOR.sup.c or CONR.sup.d R.sup.e ; Q represents a heterocyclic group, and their use as herbicid.

Abstract: 1-Azinyl-tetraozolinones of the following formulae (I) and (II): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently represent alkyl, haloalkyl, cycloalkyl, alkenyl, haloalkenyl, alkynyl or optionally substituted phenyl, orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are bonded, may form a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring which may optionally contain a further heteroatom, and said heterocyclic ring may optionally be benzo-condensed and/or be substituted by one or more of C.sub.1-4 alkyl(s), andR.sup.3 is a 6-membered heterocyclic aromatic group consisting of carbon atoms and 2 or 3 nitrogen atoms, which may optionally be substituted by halogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-4 alkoxy, C.sub.1-4 alkylthio, di(C.sub.1-4 alkyl)amino or phenyl.The compounds of the formula (I) exhibit an excellent herbicidal activity and the compounds of the formula (II) are useful as starting materials in the production of the compounds of the formula (I).

Abstract: A herbicide for paddy field comprising sulphonylaminophenyluracil derivative as an active ingredient which is represented by the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents hydrogen or methyl,R.sup.2 represents C.sub.1-5 alkyl, fluro-substituted C.sub.1-2 alkyl or C.sup.3-6 cycloalkyl,optionally applied in combination with another herbicide.

Abstract: Disclosed are herbicidal tetrazolinone derivatives, selective in paddy fields of the formula ##STR1## wherein X represents C.sub.1-4 alkyl,n represents 1, 2, 3 or 4,R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 each independently represents C.sub.1-6 alkyl, C.sub.2-4 alkenyl, C.sub.2-6 alkynyl, C.sub.3-8 cycloalkyl, aryl which may optionally be substituted (wherein the substituent is at least one radical selected from the group consisting of halogen, C.sub.1-4 alkyl, C.sub.1-2 haloalkyl, C.sub.1-2 haloalkoxy, C.sub.1-2 haloalkylthio, acyl, nitro and cyano) or aralkyl optionally substituted by halogen orR.sup.1 and R.sup.2 form, together with the N-atom to which they are bonded, a cyclic ring which may be substituted. Also, disclosed are novel intermediates useful in the preparation of the compounds of formula (I).
