  • Patent number: 8739087
Abstract: In the process of designing an integrated circuit (IC), it is often the case that a functional description is converted into multiplexers. In some cases it would be more efficient to combine two or more multiplexers into a larger multiplexer to identify potential design problems in the original register transfer level (RTL). Such early detection can prevent routing congestion problem that would be too expensive to fix later. A large multiplexer is defined as a multiplexer having a number of inputs and control signals that is above a predetermined threshold. When such a multiplexing functionality is detected that function may be replaced in the circuit with a large multiplexer that would be a more efficient implementation. Accordingly the circuit is checked for existence of multiplexing functions, and merging, when possible, of such multiplexing functions to achieve the ability to instantiate the multiplexing functionality with a large multiplexer.

  • Publication number: 20140118408
Abstract: In a management system and a method for unifying LED light color, light colors are projected from a plurality of display units, and each display unit has at least one LED having a color coordinate and a brightness value. The system and method read the color coordinate and the brightness value and compare the color coordinate and the brightness value with a predetermined color coordinate and a predetermined brightness value respectively to produce a coordinate variation value of each LED to correct a duty ratio of a PWM signal of the display unit, so as to adjust a driving current of each LED and move the color coordinate to a position corresponding to the predetermined color coordinate. Therefore, each LED can show the same primary colors through a software calibration without having any chromatic aberration of mixed lights, so as to improve the display effect.

Abstract: In a fingerprint identification and verification system and its method, the system includes a Bluetooth fingerprint device, an application device, a fingerprint identification server, and an application control device. The Bluetooth fingerprint device captures a fingerprint image, extracts the minutiae data from the fingerprint image, and sends the minutiae data to the application device. The application device transmits the minutiae data and a verification request to the application control device and the application control device transmits the minutiae data to the fingerprint identification server to perform the fingerprint identification process. The fingerprint identification server sends a verification result on which the application control device depends to accept or refuse the verification request from the application device. As a result, the speed of the user's identification process can be increased by using the Bluetooth fingerprint device to derive the minutiae data.

  • Patent number: 8590147
Abstract: A method of fabricating a circuit board structure with concave conductive cylinders is provided. Firstly, a conductive layer is provided and a dielectric layer is formed on a surface of the conductive layer. Next, a plurality of vias is formed in the dielectric layer, where the vias are exposed on the surface of the conductive layer. A conductive material is then filled in the vias to form a plurality of conductive cylinders on the surface of the conductive layer, so that the tips of the conductive cylinders are exposed on a surface of the dielectric layer relatively far away from the conductive layer. The exposed tips of the conductive cylinders are removed, so that the height of the conductive cylinders is lower than the dielectric layer and the conductive cylinders sunk into the dielectric layer.
