  • Publication number: 20060263039
Abstract: A method and an apparatus for monitoring macro environment, which achieves a real-time monitoring of a macro environment through retrieving the macro environment into more than one reference frame and comparing them with a retrieving frame by utilizing a video-retrieving device of a computer (PC camera). When the variations of the retrieving frame relative to the reference frames are beyond a preset threshold value of variation rate, the computer sends out a controlling signal to control the actuation of an alerting device, storing device or network communication device, etc. Through the monitoring method, the problem of view angle limitation existing in previous video-retrieving devices can be effectively resolved, and the real-time monitoring of a macro environment can be performed.

  • Publication number: 20060206743
Abstract: The present invention discloses a computer system with a clock controller for controlling an operating clock inputted into a no-wait-state microprocessor. The computer system includes a data cache memory and a system memory. The clock controller blocks the operating clock from driving the no-wait-state microprocessor if data requested by the microprocessor is not stored in the cache and allows the operating clock to drive the microprocessor if data requested by the microprocessor is stored in the cache.

  • Publication number: 20060078314
Abstract: A webcam communication system using a handheld device with a camera and a method used are provided. The system connects the handheld device to a computer executable platform by a transmission interface or a transmission platform at local, such, that the handheld device can be used as a webcam to extract and transmit real-time image and audio to the computer executable platform. In such, a real-time process upon the extracted image and audio is performed by the computer executable platform and a real-time image and audio communication with a remote terminal can be realized via Internet.
