  • Publication number: 20170184950
Abstract: A projection system including a projection apparatus and a screen is provided. The projection apparatus is adapted to output a plurality of exciting beams respectively having a plurality of different wavebands. The screen is disposed on a transmission path of the exciting beams. The screen includes a plurality of fluorescence material layers and at least one gas barrier layer. The fluorescence material layers are adapted to be excited by the exciting beams to emit image beams respectively having different wavebands, so as to form an image frame. The gas barrier layer covers the fluorescence material layers.

  • Patent number: 7851739
Abstract: A projection apparatus includes an illuminating unit, an imaging unit, a lens unit, and a control unit. The illuminating unit includes a light source, and a light source driving module operable to drive the light source to provide an illumination beam. The imaging unit is operable so as to modulate the illumination beam into an image beam. The lens unit is disposed on an optical path of the image beam for projecting the image beam. The control unit is coupled electrically to the illuminating unit and the imaging unit. The control unit is configured to execute an activating thread for initializing the imaging unit after controlling initial driving of the light source by the light source driving module, and a monitoring thread for monitoring the light source driving module for a success signal that indicates successful provision of the illumination beam by the light source.

  • Publication number: 20080225525
Abstract: A light source module for a projection apparatus including a light source unit, a fan, a temperature sensor and a temperature controller is provided. The fan is disposed towards the light source unit and is capable of cooling the light source unit. The temperature sensor is disposed adjacent to the light source unit and is capable of sensing an operating temperature of the light source unit. The temperature controller is electrically coupled to the fan and the temperature sensor, and is capable of adjusting a rotation speed of the fan according to the operating temperature of the light source unit. The invention is capable of keeping the operating temperature of the light source unit at or close to the predetermined operating temperature thereof by adjusting the rotation speed of the fan.
