  • Patent number: 6715210
Abstract: A scraper includes a primary jaw having a first top edge, and a secondary jaw having a second top edge and a bottom tail. The top edges of the jaws are normally opposite to each other. The secondary jaw is connected to the primary jaw between the second top edge and the bottom tail in a relationship of being movable and slightly rotatable with respect to the primary jaw. A wheel screw is threaded engaged with the primary jaw and adapted to move the bottom tail of the secondary jaw away from the primary jaw. Therefore, a blade may be held tightly between the top edges of the jaws when the wheel screw is tightened.

  • Publication number: 20030154605
Abstract: A craft knife having interchangeable blades includes a housing, and a controlling piece moveably received in the housing. A receiving chamber is defined in an interior of the housing for receiving blades. A resilient member is disposed in the interior of the housing to provide a resilience pushing the blades such that one of the blades is urged to be received in a receiving recess defined on the controlling piece. In operation of the craft knife, the controlling piece is able to be slid so that the blade received in the receiving recess is slid out of the housing and detached from the controlling piece, moreover, the controlling piece is able to be slid back into the housing so that another one of the blades in the receiving chamber is able to be pushed into the receiving recess for replacing the detached blade.

  • Patent number: 6519801
Abstract: A paint scraper has a lower cover, an upper cover detachably engaged with the lower cover, a locking device securely clamping the lower cover to the upper cover and a blade clamped between the lower cover and the upper cover. The locking device has a lever with a protruding edge detachably pressing against a face of the upper cover to provide even pressure to the upper cover to ensure the engagement between the lower and the upper covers. The lever is pivotally pressed against the upper cover that is movable relative to the lower cover, so that the pivotal movement of the lever is able to secure the engagement between the lower and the upper covers and the upper cover is able to move forward with respect to the lower cover to conceal the blade.
